I have had this experience, when I was 5 or 6 the bedroom was dark, my brother was in bed next to me and he saw it too,

A figure almost as tall as the doorway, full of shining colors. Mostly purples and blues...we were so scared we built a fort from our bedsheets and hid. I looked again and it was gone.

Could it have been? My guardian angel?

My friend has the ability to sense the supernatural and she says it was...and even told my my angels name.

Your thoughts please.

Who is in control? The past shows that I cannot control myself. I cannot keep a job or loose weight, exercise, make friends, maintain a relationship. I live in this world all alone. I live in fear, with a mind and body haunted by a past of drug and alcohol abuse. Permeated by current food addiction and other undesirable inadequacies. "I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out." And God says "... my grace is sufficient for you, for my POWER is made perfect in weakness." “..for it is God Who works in (me) to will and act according to His good purpose.. If I belong to the Lord and Father, God, then he is in control. Then why is my life still a mess. Where is the will to live? The motivation to gain employment? The desire and ambition? The peace in the valley? The comfort in shadow of the valley of death. Has my God abandoned me? I have no answers, and I suspect anything you have to say will be of no comfort, for it is all futile.

i like catholics, but i really HATE the power they give to the pope, allowing him to change scripture and enact doctrine, only JESUS CHRIST can do that!!!!!!!!

Take and eat, this is my body which has been given unto you........let's face it, Jesus told us to eat fish and then told us to become fishers of men, his apostles did not live off bread alone...........

against dumb laws like priest marrying when the BIBLE allows them to marry, or eating jesus christ at communion...............
when he told the disciples "the FLESH is of no avail"

POWER BELONGS TO GOD, NOT THE POPE

Especially given the fact that the NT says that long hair is shameful for a man, it seems odd that they started depicting Jesus with long hair.

don't read the cathecism, READ THE BIBLE, the BIBLE says "it is better to marry, than to burn the lust", i really think if these catholic priests have wives they won't burn in lust for little boys, and i am also worried about nuns as well
i wish catholics wouldn't put so much power in the pope, he is a great man, but honestly, a man nevertheless........he doesn't have the power to change scripture or doctrine.........
plus the whole "eating jesus christ" at communion is wrong as well..........i respect jesus by not eating him up

Protestants, do you find it funny that Catholics think that the communion are literally the body and blood of Christ when we can clearly show through observation and experiment that it is bread and wine? I mean how much more obvious can you get.

Why did god create the world, then wait for thousands of years to then 'tell' jesus to tell everyone about him? What was he doing after he created earth? Why the wait?Or is this just another gaping hole in the fairytale of christianity? Or don't tell me-he waited because he was god and it was his choice...Answers please?

Stone disobedient children, burn a Priest's daughter if she messes around, stone your daughter if she isn't a virgin, how to sell your daughter as a slave, the occasional ritual sacrifice, like Japhthah's daughter and Lot getting his daughters pregnant?

I can find passages where a prophet curses a group of children and two bears eat them, and passages where people eat their children during a famine, but nothing at all that sounds like advice from Dr. Spock.

Where is this "Family Values" stuff that the Moral Majority always talks about, because I've read the Bible sixteen times front to back and I can't find it?

This is for the world out there. Islam is a religion of peace, according to the quran and the hadith( guidelines by prophet muhammed pbuh)

When muslims say salaam it means peace be with you. However since sept 11 islam has been portrayed by the media as a religion of extremists.

what do you think? people of all countries, nations, religion, age sex please answere

I would like rational answers, not answers quoted from religious textbooks. That doesn't necessarily mean that those textbooks are wrong. I just want people to think for themselves. Please take some time, and reason through what you really think "God" means.

What kind of callousness does it take to know everything and be all-powerful and -not- be just and compassionate towards innocent babies?

Why would an all-knowing, all-powerful, all-compassionate and all-loving God -not- find a different way of treating the babies of the Flood than to -drown- them?

For that matter, why would an all-knowing, all-powerful, all-compassionate and all-loving God -not- find a different way of treating the butterflies of the Flood than to -drown- them?

What dangerous evil did butterflies present that your God had to drown all of them but two of each type?

What about baby bunny rabbits, hermit thrushes, lions and tigers, blue jays and black-capped chickadees, hummingbirds and pandas?

Your holy book says these are the things your god did.

Why do "christians" believe their all-knowing, all-powerful, all-compassionate and all-loving God -drowned- all of these innocents?

Why do Christians say that all other religions is by the Devil. And doesnt it takes one to know one so this means Christianity is by the devil and Jesus was only a magician.
and why does Christians say that other religions are fake and Jesus it the true lord. While even before Jesus and christianity was born there was Hinduism and why do christian people compare with other religion while their religion is just a book written by a bunch of humans while Hinduism was written by Gods people and god himself also wrote it in form of a human so why does christian people compare. And there are a lot of evidence like a bridge was created in Ramayana almost estimately 1million 7hundred thousand years ago by God's incarnation's army. And the bridge still exist till now and the pictures are taken by Nasa at this website http://www.rense.com/general30/nasa.htm

Let's say that there is no religious belief in a god of any kind. There are social morals in place - we have all the same social problems we do now; murder, robbery, rich people, poor people, hunger, political problems, etc.
Then a group of people start writing a book saying how the universe was created. But these people are not scientists - they are farmers, shepards, smiths, etc. Then they say a invisible entity was responsible for them writing this book, that they refer to this entity as god. They add that this god is sending his own son to explain his plans. They say that the lady who had a baby in a garage is the mother of this god's son.
You see where I'm going with this, let's bring the whole onset of christianity to present day. Would you really buy into this idea if your parents weren't raising you to believe it is true? Wouldn't you be a lot more sceptical about this idea if was sprung on you at an older age?
