There is no wisdom and understanding granted by God, because he doesn't exist. Nobody really has responsibility for seriously considering old superstitions. A simple scan of the claims made and a look at the people who made them should be sufficient to see the crap for what it is.
You are just responsible for managing your own life. What wisdom and understanding you manage to find during your life depends on how many sources you look at and how discerning you are in filtering the nonsense from the truth.
