Why did god create the world, then wait for thousands of years to then 'tell' jesus to tell everyone about him? What was he doing after he created earth? Why the wait?Or is this just another gaping hole in the fairytale of christianity? Or don't tell me-he waited because he was god and it was his choice...Answers please?

"God has been trying to deal with man since Adam and Eve and failed at every turn, except for a few here and there who came close.
God tried burning the bad ones out. Flooding the bad one's out, but yet Man is resilliant in coming back and falling into the Dark Side of the Force."
You are joking aren't you?You seriously don't believe that?Really? Why would god have issues in dealing with man?According to christians he can do anything he wants? he is god after all.Why doesn't he just stop their hearts. This is absolute nonesense! laughable

Ann S-Why do you equate anybody asking questions of your deluded beliefs to be from anger? Or is this just propaganda..

The world is much older than 2007 years...those years refer to time after the coming of Christ. The earth is much, much older as we know through the gathering of scientific data.
I forgive you for your unkind remarks towards my beliefs and I respect your right to disagree. I hope you can forgive me that I have no better answers for you. I cannot explain what God has done or why.

God has been trying to deal with man since Adam and Eve and failed at every turn, except for a few here and there who came close.
God tried burning the bad ones out. Flooding the bad one's out, but yet Man is resilliant in coming back and falling into the Dark Side of the Force.
Jesus was God's next to the last attempt.
The last attempt will be End of Times and that will be the true test of where Man stands on things.
You gotta remember a God day is many, many, many, many Earth days.
It's hardly been a few minutes since God put Jesus on Earth, as far as God is concerned.
Is a few minutes enough to judge the results of something.
You decide.

I really don't have an answer. Probably because I've never really thought about the question. For years before Christ, God communicated with man one on one. This was prevalent in the Old Testiment. Noah, Moses, Jonah, David... many men spoke with God. However, mankind is sinful by nature and compelled to do as they like, despite what God may have commanded.
So God sent His son as the ultimate sacrifice for mankind. He died so that all of us, born unto sin and prisoner of sin, may have forgiveness. Otherwise, we would never be worthy of God's love or Grace. And when you look at it, it does resemble a fairy-tale and it does sound rediculous.
However, Christ died over 2000 years ago. And yet, here today we still have Christians all over the globe. There are people in China who practice Christianity knowing it may lead to their arrest, torture and execution. Are you trying to tell me that they're Christians because they're self-righteous or afraid of going to hell? Because I'm pretty sure they're convinced that Christ is the one true savior if they're going to risk their lives for the belief. So how do you explain how a fairy-tale has trived so well for over 2000 years. Because most of us stopped believing in Santa Claus when we were six... but a lot of people believe in Jesus their entire life. Why do you think that is? Are we all just stupid to you or do you think some of us might have an enormous amount of faith?

You are laughable. Everyone knew about God. But they still wouldn't BELIEVE Him. His people were losing faith in Him. That is why He sent His son (among other reasons). As for the time- well, no one knows ALL the reasons- but at that time Rome had most of the world. The world was unified (to some extent) so Jesus and His disciples could preach to all the people without disturbances.
What was He doing after He created the earth? Looking after His people (obviously).
P.S. It is not your place to question God. You do not have the right to judge him. This is not a trial, and you are no judge...

God took thousands of years to prepare the earth to house his physical creatures. Man was created some time after the lower species. How long in human years, it does not say. The scriptures tell us that the earth and that which was formed within it took 6 days. How long that is in human years we can only speculate. The Bible says in Psalm 90:4 and Peter 3:8 "a thousand years are as a day" in the eyes of God. God said that after he completed the creation toward the earth, he rested. We are in his 7th day of rest toward the earth. If He has been busy elsewhere since then it doesn't say. He did not need to record more than he has given us.
He is our Creator and gave us intelligent minds to learn about the earth and to take care of it. No one could even challenge his ways. "His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, His ways higher than our ways" and "We will never know more than him," - Isaiah 55:8; Ecclesiastes 3:10; Romans 11:33. After the creation of the first man he did not say, "Okay that's it, they don't need me now." As a loving father he continued to take an interest in humankind. We need HIm more than ever today.-Jeremiah 10:23,24.
He made sure we would have a record of accounts from Adam's fall in Eden down through the centuries leading to Christ, who would redeem mankind from Adam's sin.-Hebrews Chapter 2.
We have the complete Holy Bible, his written word for us to learn about him. The message of God to man is found in his word. Bible history begins with the creation of our earth until now and has been passed down to us today that, "We will indeed find him, in fact, He is not far off from those who seek him."-Acts 17:24-31
I hope this helps, it certainly doesn't hurt.

Timing. It’s all in the timing.
Perhaps he waited for the Romans to build a highway system sufficient for the message spread.
Perhaps it would not have even been necessary if the priests had not become so hung up on the laws that they neglected God’s true purpose.
Whatever the reason, the timing does seem very purposeful and right.

2 places in the bible it says a day to god is a thousand years. The bible fills in a lot of what you are saying isn't there. Is someone shoving God down your throat? Why the anger?
You don't have to believe. It's your choice. I believe. That's my choice. I wish you well.

Of course, we as Christians believe the world is more than 2000 years old. The impossible thing for us to get over to you folks who don't believe as we do is that what we believe, we believe in FAITH. Faith in God, that what He does and what He has done, was done for His reason. We don't understand everything He did or Does, but we have Faith.
