Do they treat you well? Are they good to you? Do they make you happy?
The same questions I always ask.

In this country there a little something called religious freedom, which would also include a person's right to not have any religion. The greater majority of Americans do believe in God but it's not a requirement. However, there can be a lot of trouble with this situation. I am an agnostic which means I believe in a Supreme Being as the source of all creation, but not in a God who would damn his children to hell. My wife is a member of her religious faith but is not devout. Still there are many disagreements between us and at times the disagreements can become heated. If your friend is in love with this person, you should be very careful with what you say. If they end up married and you expressed your strong objections you may end up losing a friend. I know because a similar situation happened with me. You should, in a very open minded way, express your concerns but do not be a pious fanatic.

There are many mixed marriages which do work but there is always trouble eventually. When a black person marries a white person there is an animosity which may become troublesome for both of them, within their marriage and from outside influences. The same can be true with a religious person and an atheist.

I would tell my friend about how concerned I was but in a way as to support whatever decision she or he would make. I would do nothing other than express my concerns. Try to be supportive if you can. Try to be understanding. If later on these two should break up you will be the one they come to since you were the one who was there for her/him.

It's a tough situation for you. You are between a rock and a hard place. Just remember this, Jesus ate with thieves and sinners many times. He taught his message of salvation and allowed everyone to make up their own minds. You must do the same in a humble way. Do not force your religious beliefs but express them in a way as to say ''It is your choice but I just want you to know my concerns.''

I would want my friend to date a kind, moral person. Kind, moral people come in all religious flavors, so I suppose it wouldn't matter to me. If they are someone who is very spiritual, it might not be a good match, but I would look at the whole person, overall, before letting them know what I thought.

I would do nothing as it is not my business to interfere in my friends personal life. In a friendship, if a person puts their two cents in without being asked for their opinion then that is showing a great disregard and lack of respect for the friend.

Nothing, as long as the person was a good person and my friend was happy and okay with it, why should it matter to me if the person my friend is dating is atheist.

If she was an athiest and dating one I wouldn't have a problem. If it is a Christian Friend wanting to date an athiest then I have a problem.
You should be unequally yoked with unbelievers.

I wouldn't do nothing! It is their relationship and if I am a true friend I will respect their life.
Unless I see something happening that is wrong to my friend. I'd shut up!

my boy is an atheist.
My friends said "so he doesn't go to church?"
-"no"
"So He doesn't believe in god??"
-"no"
"and that doesn't bother you??!"
-"no, he doesn't push his beliefs on me I don't push my beliefs on him"
"Oh. Good for you!... So is he going to stop you from patising your babies?"
-*In the closet pagan blush* "His family might insist, but I think the kids should chose their own religion when they are ready so I'm not going to baptise them."
LOL you should have seen their faces.
