As the term "religion" is defined here in the West, Islam is not a religion. It is a way of life for human beings.
Not only that. Islam was around long before humanity was created. That is, it is the Muslims' belief that all of Almighty God's creation is Muslim.

by no means. There are already Latterday Saints (Mormons), Scientologists, and a whole (holy?) host of other religions.
Every time a charismatic megalomaniac becomes dissatisfied with his advancement through the ranks of charlatans in the established religions, he is liable to go out and form his own. If he is imaginative, it will be entirely new. If he is not, then it is a "sect" of an existing religion.

Its just an historical fact. (it started around 600AD) There are of course younger religions but Islam is the youngest of the world's major religions - much younger than Hinduism or Bhuddism and relatively younger than Christianity.

I thought scientology was.But there is a problem with it.A church worships a higher being.But look it up in a dictionary and it says they don't worship a higher being.They are crazy and also believe we are possessed by the long dead souls of aliens that were banished to our planet after a intergalactic war or something.They are all crazy!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not. There are many relgions that have come about after Islam. Just to name two Ba'hai and Wicca are very new.

Actually that is incorrect; the Islamic belief is that the religion came with Adam himself. It is considered to be the first religion by Muslims and all prophets from Abraham, Noah to Muhammad are considered Islamic Prophets.
