Okay lets say for the time being the teachings of Christianity are accurate, why would the devil wish me or any other human for that matter tremendous harm and eternal suffering. After all I dont recall doing anything to him so whats his beef with mankind. Is he just using us as pawns to get back at God and if so why doesnt the Almighty do something about it.
A geniune question, and one in which I hope intellectual Christains, or for that matter Muslims will be able to provide a good answer to

If he existed ( which he doesn't) then surely god would be able to control him, seeing as he controls everything, and therefore be able to stop him fuckking around with humanity, but he doesn't, which makes him a pillock.

Good question, Max.
Of course you are probably aware that the whole Set/Shaitan/Satan/Lucifer/Loki/Darth Vader/Lucifer thing is just a glorious overkill of the 'Blame Game', he's nothing more than a Universal Scapegoat, horns and all !
So no, you haven't done anything and neither has 'he', 'he' is an invention of man, in an attempt to rachet up the control game.
The lack of rescue attempts from the 'Godly' is because, I suspect, that the ludicrousness of the 'Satan' gambit must hover around the fringes of their awareness, the total illogicality of an Omni-Everything 'God' creating a 'Nemesis' to himself, and not being able to control him !
Load of old humbug !

Ah, Luci... I'm Home!
I think people are mistaken by the information they've been given. It is more accurate to assume that Lucifer went against man because (according to the parable) GOD-person put more love in man by giving them free will. Therefor to spite the maker, he spites the creation. Make sense? this is not the case, however. The story of Lucifer is far different and is dictated in the works of a scribe who's name I am not permitted to give here... Lucifer is like William Wallace, if I may use his name as an allegory.

Okay, it's sort of like a battle...Lucifer vs. God and you need an army for battle, right? Lucifer -aka- the devil already knows he will lose the battle, so he's trying to take as many down with him as he can (he even tried to tempt jesus). I hope that helps answer your question.

The scriptures seem to indicate that Lucifer was one of the children of Heavenly Father who became jelous of the Father's power and rebelled against Him. He succeeded in getting other individuals to follow him and is still trying to get more followers.
Some of the motivation then is apparently to have power over others, which feeds his pride (thoughts of I'm better than others). To the extent he can get people to follow him, his dilusion of greatness is fed. In truth however, this behavior causes misery. The old maxim that, "misery loves company" is also a motivation because it helps feed the dilusion as well. These are common tendencies of human nature so I probably don't need to explain them further.
Heavenly Father doesn't stop him from trying to influence people because He gave all of us our agency or free will. He did cast Lucifer out of Heaven because he wouldn't follow the rules (e.g., tries to take away agency of others).
Lucifer is allowed to influence people on the earth as part of the Father's plan to provide us with opposition in all things. This helps us to really understand true principles by showing us what happens when people make both good and bad choices.
For example, it's one thing to tell your child over and over again not to lie. Your child is more likely to understand if they see what happens when trust is lost in a relationship. Our Heavenly Father wants us to understand truth as He understands it. A full understanding of truth brings true joy and happiness and allows us to help others.

satan was kicked outta Heaven.
satan hates All Human Beings.
1. We look like GOD, satan hates GOD
2. We can get back to Heaven (through Jesus) satan cannot, or ever will. (Jesus died for Human Beings, not angels)
3. satan is an Insane angel--NOT A HUMAN BEING capable of Human Feelings and Emotions.
4. satan Devours WHOM he may---RESIST the Devil and he will Flee.
All you have to be is a Human Being on this Earth and satan hates you, even when he tries to be nice to you (to keep you damned and outta Heaven) he still hates you and it will show up later. Hopefully not in Hell Either.
Ditto.......

The devil thought he had won when Jesus died on the cross. The devil never anticipated that Jesus would rise from the dead. Hallejuah, Jesus is alive! Satan loathes Jesus, christianity, and anyone who represents the Lord!!! The devil came for one purpose,"to steal, kill, and destroy." If you only dabble in christianity and don't live for Him daily, then you are like a house on sinking sand. Living for Jesus isn't a simple walk in the rain. But it is so worth it because the devil may bark, but my Lord roars! Greater is He in me than he that is in the world.

Lucifer fell because of his jealousy of Gods Reverence of man, Lucifer hated God for the love of his creation of man, as Lucifer was quite vain.
God loved mankind more than he did the Angels, but Lucifer felt this was unfair as man came after the Angels.
So he set about trying to take the throne from God and lay claim over the heavens. Not to mention his vanity didn't help either, that's why God threw him into hell, where their was no light or sun, disfiguring him in the process.
Lucifer despised man for this because of Gods love for man was greater than his love for Lucifer or his kind!
Thus Lucifer set about trying to lure man into his clutches, to hate God and to do wrong by God and Gods laws, because God gave man freewill, their was nothing God could do to prevent this!
All God could hope for is that the good in man would prevail against Lucifer's evil. Lucifer aka Satan is there to basically bring about the evil in man, to tempt him in all aspects of sin. evil and good are in all of us, its a case of choice, strength and weakness...

Lucifer fell because of his widespread trade. (Ezekiel 28) He wanted to spread his failings around thin so that nobody would notice. In fact, he wanted a spotter's fee for being able to see how much more righteous everybody else was than him. This sort of passive-aggressive self-pity is what keeps him going, along with the vast numbers of followers that he has, through all his different business enterprises.
You haven't done anything to him. He's just a bully.
