This is a poll so let's try to keep our answers concise and precise. The more people participate, the better it would be.
This poll addresses the BASIC question about homosexuality; just give your view on it irrespective of whether you tolerant homosexuality or not.
Do you think homosexuality is inherently unnatural i.e. do you think sexuality was meant to be only heterosexual and that is why the opposite genitals in the male and female?
I will post my opinion later.
Cheers

Please note that I am not asking whether you approve or not; I am simply asking you whether it is a form of "sexual experimentation" which transgresses natural sexuality.

Markyyy: Thanks for being so overly judgmental about my intentions of posting this question here.
I had not exactly thought on those lines and niether do I have some sort of vested interest in this. I simply want people's opinions because people in R/S tend to be fast with their responses and this is where I hang out on Y/A.

If you would read the latest Medical Journals you would see that science now says that homosexuality is likely a choice made by people resulting from their enviroment.....i.e. things like people you surround yourself with, beliefs that a person was raised with, etc.
They also now claim that they have found no "gay gene" as was once claimed.
Homosexuality is a choice........

I think people are born the way they are. Is there anyone that would voluntarily choose to live a lifestyle of prejudice and potential danger. There are still people in the world that will beat a person up for no other reason than their sexuality. Then you have the constant ridicule, and the feeling of not belonging anywhere. No, this is not a choice. I think people are born gay, and if that is the case, it must be natural. I have seen animals engage in "gay" behaviours. Are they unnatural? No, they don;t have a moral compass, they are animals. I do see your point as to the male and female genitalia, and the fit, but that is for procreation. Pleasure can be had without one or the other of them. My best friend in the world is a lesbian, and she is also my son's godmother, and I can't think of anyone who would fulfil that role better than she does. I remember her pain, and the suffering when she came out. I took it kind of hard, and I really wasn't very nice at first. I don't know what I was afraid of, maybe that she would try to turn me gay, or something? I don't know. I do know that in hindsight, even when we were kids, then teens double dating, I can see the differences. I didn't at the time, but I can see the signs now. I guess we all see what we want to see. I'm thankful to be able to say that she was kind and understanding, and we are better friends now than we ever were. So is she unnatural? Absolutely not! She is only the way God made her! And she is wonderful just the way she is.

It is totally natural in people since it occurs without any technological intervention.
And sexuality wasn't "meant to be" anything. It simply exists because it promotes bonding between people and bonding helps promote the species through nurturing of young. If anyone argues that homosexuals use their sexuality for more than it's biological use in procreation, then you have to accept that heterosexuals do that also. We have sex without intent to procreate all the time. We stay coupled long after our children are grown. We engage in childless relationships.
LOL, so much for consise. you can't ask complex multipart questions and expect a simple yes or no answer.

No, it's perfectly natural. I wish people would actually take the time to study the issue from a scientific perspective instead of simply parroting what a religion teaches.
Of course I am tolerant of homosexuality....If I was intolerant I'd hate half myself: I am bisexual. ;-)

it is natural AND unnatural. It is a naturally occurring taboo that interact unnaturally.
We ALL know how the taboo is desirable and disgusting at the same time. Personally, as a guy, I really do not care for male homosexuality, but female I sort of like... or tolerate... whoops (Freudian slippage)... I accept homosexuality, but I do not like male homosexuality very much as it just makes me uncomfortable. I've had my experimentations and experiences and chose that it is not for me. The thing is, I satiated my curiosity.

I would have thought that the answer to this question would be obvious, but to be concise and precise, yes, I believe homosexuality is inherently unnatural.
EDIT:
The question asked whether homosexuality is unnatural, NOT whether you are tolerant or not.
Have we become so "politically correct" that we don't recognize what sex is for? Momma nature's main concern is the continuation of the species...simple biology.

In my opinion, Sex would be defined as the joining together of the sex organs (genitalia) of a male and a female. All other forms of "Sexuality" (including Homosexuality) are in reality just masturbation, and the only thing sexual or natural about it is that it produces an orgasm.
That being said, it is inconsequential to me the methods others choose to experience orgasms.

Logically speaking, it is inherently unnatural since it doesn't lead to continuation or genetic advancement of a species (Theory of Evolution). That being said, it's really none of my business what consenting adults do with each other sexually.

If you don't want people to tell you whether or not they agree with homosexuality, you wouldn't have asked this in the religious section.
I fail to see any other reason for asking this question in this section. Yahoo has a GLTB section, you are likely to find more homosexuals there, who can explain you much better that it's natural. They can also tell you how most of them have struggled with their feelings for a long time.
Nobody chooses to be homosexual in a world where questions like this are still being posted in a religious section, where the "god hates fags" crowd can type their horrible answers.
Now, I advise you to post "How does it feel to be Chinese?" in the Norwegian section. That's basically the same as posting this question in the R&S section.
Edit: sorry, I don't mean to be judgmental. I just get tired of people giving the Phelps copycats a voice. With questions like this in _this_ section we give them a voice, and are partly guilty of that horrible phenomenon. I wish more people would realize that.
