First, Gary, pbuh means "Peace be upon him"

Jesus did not predict Muhammad. Keep reading

John 16:13 "But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will teach you all truth. For he shall not speak of himself; but what things soever he shall hear, he shall speak; and the things that are to come, he shall shew you."

If you read the entire passage, there is NO DOUBT that the He in the passage is the Spirit of Truth. The Holy Spirit (or Ghost, depending on your preference) is one of the three persons of the one triune God.

No, He was talking about the Holy Spirit. That is revealed later, in Acts. Sorry to burst your bubble. But I don't think it will do any good.

And the Holy Spirit is not a "ghost," as it was never a living being, at least not in OUR sense of the word.

Jesus didn't need a Mohammed. He still doesn't need a Mohammed. All Mohammed did was confuse the message so that millions of people fell into Satan's hands and are under the devils sway.

What Muslims who are really smart need to do is peacefully get out of Islam, so that they can seek peace with God, which they will never get in Islam.

There is a link for you about that in Wikipedia.

Jesus said he must go so the “comforter” or “praised one” can come who will tell all things which the apostles were not yet ready for.

The comforter would bring a final law and final book that would make all things clear.

He would be a Man not a spirit and everyone was waiting for this Great Prophet from the time of Moses.

The Holy Spirit had already come as a Dove so obviously Jesus was not talking about the Holy Spirit. He was talking about a Messenger who would come after him, one who would explain all the things and telling of more things to come.

Jesus was the “Messiah of the Jews” but he was not the “comforter” or “Prophet like unto Moses”.

That is why they asked John the Baptist whether he was "that Prophet" , whom everyone was waiting for……and he said “no”.

Only until recently, have bible interpretors thought the comforter was the Holy Spirit.

If they accept the idea of the comforter being a human (as everyone else used to) then they would have a very hard time denying Mohammed as a possible fulfillment of this prophecy.

The bible informed us that "The comforter","Last Prophet" or "Law Giver" who would make "all things known" and who "would reprove the world of sin with a new Law" was to come from the "brethren" of the Israelites.

Moses replied : "And the Lord said onto me, they have well spoken that which they have spoken, I will raise them up a Prophet from among ‘their brethren’, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." (Deuteronomy 18:17-18)

The Bible refers to the Ismaelites (Arabs) as the Brethren of the Israelites (e.g. Gen. 16:12 & Gen. 25:18).
------
This Final Prophet will come as Isaiah predicted ………. From the land of Kedar (Arabia) and from the branch of Jesse (Ishmael)

“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out his roots. And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge, and of the fear of the Lord.”--- Isaiah 11:1-2

The Quran calls the Angel of Revelation (Angel Gabriel) the Ruhool Qudoos “Holy Spirit” who is sent down to “strengthen” the Prophets.

According to Encyclopedia Biblica, we read: “Jesse is contracted from Ishmael”. (Cheyene , Encyclopedia Biblica under “names”)
-------------
Isaiah tells of the Prophecies of a “Servant of God” who will come from the land of Kedar with a divine Law and he will be victorious over his enemies in battles.

He will bring a new law and message in a new tongue(language) and the villages of Kedar will sing the praises from the mountain tops.....

“Sing unto the Lord a new song , and his praise from the end of the earth…” (V.10)

“another tongue” (Isaiah 28:11)

Let the desert and its towns lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits; let the inhabitants of Sela sing for joy, let them shout from the tops of the mountains. 12 Let them give glory to the Lord, and declare his praise in the coastlands. --- (Isaiah 42:11).

Ishmael dwelt in the wilderness of “Paran”(Gen.21:21) He beget twelve sons one of whom was named “Kedar”. (Gen.25:13)

------------------
******** The reason Muslims use the bible to prove several points is because it is mentioned in the Quran that Allah sent down glad tidings of the Last Prophet to come in the Torah and Injeel (bible)

HOLY QURAN : 007.157 "Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the Torah and the Injeel (Gospel);- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper."

Now this depends on which version of the bible you are reading, because you have to remember that all versions are different...

"Muhammad was predicted to come in the Gospel of John:

Just a quick note, the Arabic word "Muhammad" is an expression which means "The honorable one" or "The glorified one" or "The admirable". Prophet Muhammad was the first in the Middle East to be named "Muhammad". Below, you will see how Jesus in today's Gospel of John had called this human Prophet which he predicted his comming "The honorable one".

Jesus in the Greek Bible used the Greek word "Periklytos" which means the admirable or glorified one. He called that predicted human prophet "Periklytos". This word corresponds exactly to the Arabic word "Muhammad" which also means the "admired one" or "glorified one." In other words, "Periklytos" is "Muhammad" in Greek.

In the Bible we can find the following four passages wherein Jesus (peace be upon him) predicts a great event:

John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever"

John 15:26 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me"

John 14:26 "But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

John 16:7-14 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you."

In these four verses, the word "comforter" is translated from the word "Paraclete" ("Ho Parakletos" in Greek). Parakletos in Greek is interpreted as "an advocate", one who pleads the cause of another, one who councils or advises another from deep concern for the other's welfare (Beacon Bible commentary volume VII, p.168). In these verses we are told that once Jesus (peace be upon him) departs, a Paraclete will come. He will glorify Jesus (peace be upon him), and he will guide mankind into all truth" (excerpt from the below source).
