The Quran says the Quran is protected from any change because no more Prophets would come.
There is no such protection for the Previous books and that is why Prophets were sent to rectify the message and admonish the people for changing the word with their hands.

According to the Bible, Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verses 11-13,
vegetation was created on the third day along with seed-bearing grasses, plants and trees; and further on as per verses 14-19, the sun was created on the fourth day. How is it scientifically possible for the vegetation to have appeared without the presence of the sun, as it has been stated in the Bible?
It also says light is created on the first day where as the source of light 'The Sun' is created on the fourth day. How is this scientifically possible.
The Quran does not mention the above. If Bible is the word of Divine God He should not make mistakes while describing evolution. There are also several other mistakes in the Bible I do not wish to quote them. But on peace TV a Christian Doctor Campbell lost the debate to Doctor Zakir Naik. It was very interesting.
The Quran mentions Jesus is a Prophet like Abraham, Yusuf and Noah but he is not God. Does the Bible say anywhere that Jesus is God? Several Authors wrote the Bible but I don't think it
was accurately written and checked right after the death (or resurrection) of Jesus. If it was error free and scientifically correct I would accept it.

The answer to this question is simple. The Quran never said that the Bible is not corrupted. Since previous people courupted the message of their prophets, GOD this time took the responsibility of protecting the Quran since after this book, no new message will come from GOD to humanity. That is why you will see that there is only One Quran. Even though muslims have many sects, they all follow the same quran. The fact that Quran has remained unchanged is verified by many non-muslims scholars and can be proven matching it with the copies which are 1200 years old and kept in meuseums.
As for the Bible, there are around 2000 differernt versions of the bible. And no christian scholar will tell you that no two are alike!!. You see, Paul hijaked the religon taught by Jesus, and later people like John, mathew, saw jesus in dreams and claimed to have been given the message of the bible. However, these people for their vested intresets, introduced the concepts of original sin and that jesus died for our sins so that now all christians were scot free to do anything they want. Plus if Adam did not ask me before eating the fruit, then how should I be held resoponsible.
These corruptions in the bible made it necassary that the Last and Final Testament be sent to mankind, and that was the Quran which will be protected by GOD till the day of judgment.

Quran does not order us to read the bible, nor does it ensure to preserve the bible .... all the promises of preserving are for Quran. I`m sure there are words and verses in even the bible that God preserved, but not the entire bible as a book the way quran was preserved.
If all the previous books were preserved then all the religions will be one religion.... islam as they all would say the same thing, but since the people changed it Allah gave down the Quran. Quran is the preservation of the bible and torah, thats the promise.
The verse you quoted doesn`t show anything except the fact that Quran confirms the previous scriptures ..... the previous scriptures that God sent .... not the altered versions of those scriptures ..... if you bring out the original authentic versions of bible and torah.... Quran does confirm them.

There are now more than 60 versions of the Bible(Different versions not translations The different versions of the Bible are not merely different translations, but are actually versions i.e. they add and remove things from other versions)
These revisions serve as concrete proofs that all the Biblical books are not at all divinely inspired. This is because it is beyond man's ability to correct the work of his Creator, who alone is Almighty and perfect
The Bible is a collection of writings by many different authors. The Qur'an is a dictation. The speaker in the Qur'an - in the first person - is God talking directly to man. In the Bible you have many men writing about God and you have in some places the word of God speaking to men and still in other places you have some men simply writing about history.
The previous scriptures were meant for a limited period (and a specific people) that ended with the revelation of what abrogated them and exposed what had taken place in them of distortion and change. That is why they were not protected from corruption
Muslims believe in the books of the previous prophets including the "Torah" which was sent to Moses, the "Zaboor" (Psalms) which were given to David, the "Injeel" (Gospel) which was given to Jesus, and the Qur'an which was given to Muhammad However, Muslims are told that the previous scriptures were tampered with by mankind and the Bible should only be accepted in as far as it is confirmed by the Qur'an. It is to be treated with respect, however any statements which clearly oppose those of the Qur'an are to be rejected as the work of mankind.

ANOTHER PUNTER JUST FLEW OVER THE KOO KOO NEST............................
ATT mr be happy.who made you the authority on the bible.you seem to be on a mission to discredit the bible WITH THE CRAP that effortlessly rolls off your tongue.i don't know whats more sad,the fact that you may actually believe the stuff that you write about, or the fact that a seemingly intelligent person like yourself can be so deceived...... but then i guess there is non so blind than he who can not see.you see the word of God is foolishness to you because you have not the holy spirit living and abiding in you.the holy spirit bore wittiness to Jesus as he spoke the truth.just read the sermon on the mount and try to tell the world that he was just a good speaker and wrote the greatest speech in the history of man.the word of God is relevant to the state of the heart of man 2000 years ago as it is today.especially this day and age. where as the koran is a testament to the barbaricness that is relevant to the sad state of affairs that has gripped this world with violence and the suppression of its women and basic rights of man to mention a few. I'm sure when you read the bible you have to try hard to suppress the envy within you.but instead you spend your futile time trying to discredit it.its a shame your heart is hardened to the real truth.you have lowered yourself to perpetuating lies and doing the work of the fallen one.
be brave and denounce and repent all that you have done at the risk of haveing those who love and know you shun you.
your reward will be great.jesus the son of the one and only true living God will bless you from on high and give you his spirit.the scales will fall fom your eyes and a new day will dawn upon you."WAKE UP SLEEPER AN RISE FOM THE DEAD AND LET CHRIST SHINE UPON YOU"..........
your brother in christ vlad.

I would like to start off by saying that there is only one Qu'ran, that has remained word - by - word the same since it was written 1400 years ago by our beloved prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him), by divine revelation from God. Thus, the Qu'ran is the word of God, so any contradictions and inconsistencies that mankind can find in the Qu'ran, would give one reason to suggest that the Qu'ran is really not the word of God. But this is not the case. Even until today, scholars and scientists cannot find any inconsistencies or contradictions in the Qu'ran, but instead the modern scientific discoveries that we have come across have only confirmed the many miracles that are written in our Holy Qu'ran.
The Qu'ran is encouraged to be read in the language it was written in - arabic. When you see an english Qu'ran, it is a translation of the meaning of the Qu'ran, as many words in arabic do not always have an english word that expresses the same meaning, hence it is a translation of the meaning.
In Islam, we do not deny the Torah and the Bible, we are encouraged to read it, but with the knowledge that it has been corrupted by the hand of man - these are the verses within the Bible that have inconsistencies and contradictions due to innate 'human' error that mankind possesses.
Jesus (peace be upon him) was given the ability to perform miracles by the permission of God, but Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) was given the miracle of the Holy Qu'ran, which God made the final revelation. God pledged that He would protect the authenticity of the Holy Qu'ran, to preserve it for mankind in future.
Today, thousands of muslims around the world have memorized the entire Qu'ran, but yet I know of no Christian or Jew that has memorized their own holy book.
Allah knows best. Ameen.

Because it does not agree with the Koran - Example - the Koran states that Jesus Christ was not crucified and did not die - It states that he went directly to heaven and that Judas Iscariot was mistaken for Jesus Christ.
You can turn blue and you will not be able to convince a Moslem that there is not only the 4 Gospels but historic record writteb by Pantus Pilate to Cesar about it???

Christians have Jesus as Messiah. Muslims have Mohammad. The Jews are still waiting for their Messiah.
We will know who is right when we each die. We will know which is a cleverly devised fable. Until then, all professions of Faith are merely based upon our human understanding which, at best, is faulty.
Who has never made a error in judgment? Who, therefore, has all the answers? Not you or I.
To earn my degree in Christian Theology I was required to study world religions. It is not the religion that is faulty, it is the human interpretation and application of it. Remember the Crusades and 9 -11 in the name of God?
Religion, in the hands of zealots, is a weapon for destruction. In the hands of the compassionate, it is a blessing.

Every religion has a comeback and if they don't yet then there will be one sooner or later.
As you can see by the answer above me, that the bible is taken literally so is easy to quote out of context, it is this approach that corrupts the bible in the first place
