this is not an attack on atheists.

while there are a lot of intelligent atheists, i find a lot of people who keep pushing the atheist agenda have no clue as to what they are talking about. They seem to just be gushing out buzz words as though they were proclaiming some revelation. The atheists who are actually intelligent tend to be more reserved.

some of the responses lack such human emotion that it makes me wonder if some are wrapped up so much in the notion of God that they forget that "God " supposly gave us human emotion and they forget to use it.
No respect for her beliefs or her turmoil at that...just on and on about how she should just cave in go to church...or how could she not believe in God.
As John Stossal says "Give me a Break"

So whats the deal here folks lost touch with human emotion?

Why say he was only sent for the Jews and ignore everyone else ?

It sounds like he was a Prophet and Messiah sent ONLY for the Jews, just as hundreds of Prophets were sent only to the Jews before him.

If Jesus was being sent for ALL of mankind then he would have said that from the moment he started preaching and would NEVER exclude anyone during his delivery of the message.

Quite obvious......


(Matt 10:5-6)--- Jesus sent out these 12 after giving them instructions: "Don't take the road leading to other nations, and don't enter any Samaritan town. Instead, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
(Matthew 15:24) He (Jesus) replied, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
(Matt 18:11) "For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost."

Some people seem to think that science is some sort of silver bullet that can kill God but science is limited to what God has limited it to.

So, when we sin, and ask God for forgiveness, he will forgive our sin, and not only forgive it, but forget it, too. So then, why do people still go to hell? 'Cause, you know, if He doesn't remember and whatever, then he won't remember us doing anything bad. And I heard it said one time that when the Lord returns the first time, He will take with Him the ones who are going to Heaven, and the rest will be left on the earth until He comes again, but the time in which we are still on earth will be horrible. So, is this true, or will God just come back one time and that's that?

Yes, I know that missionaries help people that are in times of need, but they are only feeding on these peoples' ignorance and desperate times so they can covert them. I find it to be very "unchristian" like. Also, when these missionaries go and convert people from their native religion and culture, the earth is slowly losing its diversity and the ancient wisdom hidden within these cultures and tribes. It is just a matter that really bothers me.....

What is God's No. 1 attribute, love or holiness? In the OT, He is holy. In the NT, He is a loving and forgiving God. Whenever I listen to Christian radios, 90 out of 100 times I hear the message of love. Have we forgotten His holiness? I somehow tend to believe love is His No.2 attribute and holiness is His No. 1. attribute. Certainly Jesus died for our sins, but it doesn't mean we can go to heaven easily by just believing in Jesus. When Jesus said as long as you believed in me you would have eternal life, He was speaking to people who didn't believe in Him. Today, as a believer, I don't believe we can go to heaven easily. God is not lowering His holy standards. Probably only one in every 100,000 Christians can actually go to heaven. What do you think ?

I am struggling with my faith. I am really finding it hard. I have always considered myself a logical and thoughful person and it is just getting harder and harder to believe in jesus and god. I am trying soooo hard!!! I really really want him in my life and sometimes i let him in and i feel it but then my mind plays tricks on me and how am i meant to know if it is real or not?

Sometimes i just want to give up with the questions and just believe. But i dont want to follow something that doesnt add up! I want it to add up!!! Sigh ... i really need him now. I am going through a really hard break up. I need faith but how can i get it? I am trying. I still believe but it is so hard!!!

Is there any advice out there? Perhaps some people could pray for me. Pray for me to have faith and strength please. I would really appreciate it.
