Faith is a hard thing. Why? Because by definition, it is believing in something with no definitave proof. We have all the proof we need. If you feel yourself waivering, go to your local hospital, to the maternity ward, and see all the new life coming into this world. It is an amazing feeling.

Don't try so hard to believe in a faith. Just enjoy your life, do something for others and be a good person and your faith in God will follow. Others will show you the way. By helping others you are doing what God wants you to do. Live, love, and be happy, that's what God wants for you.
It really isn't as hard as everyone thinks it should be. God is in the hearts of those who love him and are doing his work in the world.
I will pray for you.
You know what, there are a lot of people on this site that need praying for. Lets all pray for them together, them and all the other people who need our prayers even if they don't think they do.

Just because you don't feel some strong emotional something-or-other right now doesn't mean you have a lack of faith. There's nothing wrong with questioning the existence or the importance or the usefulness of the idea of God, Jesus, Christianity, etc. Don't let any christians make you feel like you're stumbling or struggling or loosing your faith because you're questioning.
You may come out of this completely evolved with a totally new appreciationg for life, yourself and others and it may have absolutely NOTHING to do with religion or jesus or christianity and THAT"S OKAY!!!
I will only pray that you find whatever truth you are happy and comfortable with and that truly sits well with you......
be well.

The truth about God is like the elusive lean
body. We all say we want it, but few are willing to
put in the work it requires. Most people are content
to take what their parents give them as truth. That is
why a child born in Iraq is likely to become Muslim
while a child born in Utah is more likely to become
Mormon and a child born in Alabama more likely to
become a protestant Christian. It’s not that the
argument for Islam is any more compelling in Iraq than
it is in Alabama. It’s just that we are, to a great
extent, products of our environments.
At some point a person might begin to question
what they are given as truth. What’s with all these
contradictions in the Bible? Why doesn’t God condemn
slavery? Most clergy are ready for such questions with
canned answers or recommendations for a good apologist
to read. Why? It is because most people don’t want to
abandon their notions of truth, even when they doubt
it. They just want an answer that will quell the
uneasiness they feel while allowing them to retain
their notions of what the truth is. In other words,
any plausible explanation will do.
The problem is that truth is lost in the process.
If you are married and your spouse starts coming home
late because they are having an affair, would you want
to know the truth, even if you didn’t like it, or
would you be pacified with any and all plausible
explanations given? “I was working late.” “I had a
flat tire.” “I ran out of gas.” “I ran into an old
buddy from high school.” Would you accept every excuse
given so you could retain your faith in your spouse?
That is what most people do when it comes to religion.

You are not your own Savior, so quit worrying about it and let God save you from it all, he will.
Sounds like you don't ask God all the questions on your mind like you're asking us.
I asked God once many years ago why did he make spiders cause they are so evil, he answered and since then I understand why he made them and also other things he made that I do not like.
Add up?
You need to rest in the fact also that the deep things belong to God and there is much that is really none of your business.
He said to be as little child, just follow him and quiet down, he will lead you and you can trust him.
I pray for you right now and I believe that I Have what I ask for...your peace.

I'll be praying for you! Don't worry, it's normal to doubt your faith and Christianity. Nearly every Christian struggles with it sometime in their life. I have, and still do occasionally. Do you go to Church? Becasue you'll make no progress unless you go to Church. You want to grow in Christ now don't you? Talk to someone about your doubts at Church. Your pastor, the youth pastor, sunday school teacher, or just a strong Christian. They can help you, and sit down with you and show you in the Bible that there is no reason to doubt. Satan will try to bring you down and say "Oh, you're not saved this is all just a big joke!" but he's WRONG. Satan knows about God too you know. He hates him. Satan wants you to believe in him and follow him, and then bam! He betrays you and you're stuck in hell suffering. Not exactly a good picture huh? Sorry, I'm not here to sugar coat everything and make it sound nice as my youth pastor would say. Remember, once you're saved NO ONE can take that from you. Not Satan, not your parents, not your girlfriend, not the world. Just do something for me: Turn off the computer, TV, radio and whatever else and in complete quietness just get on your knees and pray. Pray to God and ask Him to show you that He's still there. I promise, He won't let you down. God bless!

I sturggle constantly with my faith...all Christians do...just remember that you are not alone!
First off, you need to know that JESUS is the ONLY way!!! you say that your mind is playing tricks on you??? I call that the devil trying to lure you away because he knows that you are on the fence.
God, Jesus, Christianity...it is all a faith thing. Faith is believing with all your heart in something, no matter what the odds or chances are. Its like air, you know it is there even though you can't see it.
break ups are hard (believe me, i know) just know that thre is someone who is MUCH better for you out there! just keep thinking that! Believing is not hard...the hard part is continuing to believe even during the hard times.
I promise to pray for you...i pray for anyone who asks. I hope that all ends well with you. talk yo me if you ever need it. also, go to
TVULive.com
there is a great help line there...and they will be MORE than willing to help you out...i promise. Godd Luck, and I know that good things will happen your way, just keep believing

The first question I would ask you.Have you ever received Christ as your Saviour?Jesus paid the price for our sins.It is up to us to accept the sacrifice He made. All of us are sinners but must accept Jesus in our hearts.Being good or leading a good life will not be enough. These are works and only God's grace can save us.Grace is mercy even though we are not worthy of it.Asking Jesus into your heart and admitting you are a lost sinner is the first step. Then you can walk in faith and never be alone. The heartache will ease and life will be more meaningful and full.Life will have some rocky areas but the Lord will help you through all the rough spots.I will pray for you that you will accept God's sacrifice and let him in your heart.

There is a God, other-wise Christianity would not be the most followed religion in the world, not including other religions which I believe follow the same thing in a way and don't even know it. Don't worry, I think half of the point of God is keeping faith through doubt.

"From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. 'You do not want to leave too, do you?' Jesus asked the twelve. Simon Peter answered him,'Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God." John.
You are not alone, all christians struggle with their faith . Satan is alive and well in this world and is trying to bring believer's down. God has you in the palm of his hand and though you may not "feel" his presence at times, he is always with you. "As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you." Jos 1: 5
Right now you need to dig deep, deep into God's word, he has the answers, and though your faith in him may falter time to time, Praise God he doesn't depend on our strength. He is Lord of all creation whether we believe or not! I find great comfort in that. You only need faith as small as a mustard seed.....I'm praying for you , you're not alone, God Bless you! P.S. Study Peter's life.
