First Jesus did not do "magic tricks" Jesus created and ordered the world, all He did was restore some of the order back to the way it was intended- there was no deception, illusion or self promotion in what He did, furthermore, all glory was given to God for the things He did because that is where the power and ability to do them came from.
The word magic specifically has to do with deception, illusion- something false and unreal. What Jesus did was very real.
Conjuring up spirits and attributing whatever powers you think you might have to false gods, self promotion or promotion of false gods, deception and manipulation of the mind is what is evil- none of this did Jesus have a part in and none of this should anyone calling themselves His followers.

Why do so many of you insist that magic has to do with calling forth demons or satan? I can't speak for all witches but, Wiccans don't believe in satan.
As for the spells being real, yes they do work. They are not flashy, like on TV or movies but, they work like prayer works. In fact, that's what they are, prayer with fanfare.
I asked a few hours ago if Jesus could be considered a witch. Most of the responses I got were from Christians. There were a few that a least considered the idea.

Jesus did not do magical tricks he did miracles, that was not a form of magic it was the power of God. That is the only thing man will not be forgiven for denying the power of the Holy spirit. Magic is evil it is done by the spirits of Satan, when man gets involve with that it opens doors to evil spirits causing problems in a persons life.sorceress, mediums
Paul cast out a demon of a sorceress Acts 16:16-18. 26:30,19:18-19. read...Consulting the dead about the dead,God is the God of the living ask him.

It is not of God. That is why magic is evil. Christ did perform miracles. He met needs, healed wounds, and even returned the dead to life. I'd hardly call them tricks... Lazarus was dead for three days. I imagine the tomb would have been absolutely putrid as they opened it. Christ always performed miracles in the name of God.
The forces behind white magic are demons. That is what I believe, and it is what the Bible says. Knowing the bad experience a friend of mine had with it, I suggest that you get out of it.

Magic itself is not evil. It is just a tool. For example a knife.. Is it evil? However, you can cut a bread with the knife and you can kill someone with the knife.... It all depends.
Meanwhile, magic often is used to achieve some personal goals just because someone WANTS it so badly. It is to place one's will against God's will, and this brings evil.

Umm no He didn't do tricks.
Magic is part of the occult and God does not like His people dabbling in the occult.
It is Satan's dominion and most don't know how to use the demonic powers that are unleashed. It can be like a drug in that you would move on to other things like astrology, tarot cards, palmistry, astral projection, satanism and seances. You are dealing with evil principalities
God is truth and light, the occult is hidden, secret, and dark. Magic is an ancient art of sorcery and the actual cult of demons performed in collaboration with the powers of darkness. Magic seeks accomplishment of results beyond human power by a superhuman spirit agent, such as Satan and demons.
The bible recognizes the reality of magic and attributes it to satanic and demonic forces. Their power is limited by God, however. All magic is anti-Christ.

Magic isn't evil, it is working with energy. It is the intent of the magic/energy worker that determines whether it is for good or bad.
People who don't believe in magic are just unimaginative, don't worry about them.

Magic is a tool neither good nor evil in its self. The intent of the person using it makes it good or evil.
Example when my uncle was sick I went to my altar and lit a candle my catholic cousin went to an altar and lit a candle.
They see me as the wicked one. We did the same thing.
Something to think about.

I don't think it's actually evil, but people interpret it as such because you're dealing with things that you can't completely control that could yield undesired effects. For example, (I forgot who exactly did this) in the Bible someone had a seance to conjure someone's spirit but ended up contacting someone else, which is obviously potentially very dangerous.
