Seriously, if the biblical authors had one person in mind as the anti-christ, it was Nero.
Though, in reality, mention of the word anti-christ was actually just used as a way to describe anyone who went against Christian teachings. There was no specific prophesy about an anti-christ. (Look in revelation... the word doesn't appear once.)

This is another Chrisitian tradition that has somehow become cold hard truth to them over the centuries.

The anti christ is someone who is against Jesus Christ. Biblically speaking, THE anti christ (in Revelation) will be a very smooth, "peace keeping" charismatic, politician like person who will even go as far as to try to convince the world that he is a follower of Christ. Then in the end, he will end up leading many away from Christ by deceiving them, marking them with "the mark of the beast" (666), and persecuting Christians (much like Hitler with the Jews). Read the book of Revelation in the Holy Bible. You may need a guide to follow along since it is written in code. It's an amazing book.

But seriously, Paul writes of the anti-Christ in 2Thess 2
1 ¶ Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,

3 ¶ Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
