um, no Esther, you are confused. you seem nice, but do you really believe Jesus will save only those who believe in Him? im not that religious, but Jesus has said that he will always go back for His sheep, no matter what. (not in those words though) and he even forgived those who were at his side when he died, even thoguh they were murderers and didnt believe he was the messiah. so please, save it the next time you want to speak.

Those that ask God into their hearts and accept him as their saviour and ask him for forgiveness, their sins are forgiven, never to be remembered by God again. The bible says when we ask for forgiveness he throws our sins into the sea of forgetfulness and they are as far as the east is from the west. Those that end up in hell are the ones that never accepted him in the first place. Jesus will come back twice. The first time, he will not step foot on the earth. This will be the rapture of the church. Those that have accepted him will go with him to heaven. Then there will be 7 years of the Great Tribulation here on earth. During this time, more will come to accept him and some will not. The second time he comes back he will return to earth and those that have accepted him will have eternal life along with those that accepted him the first time and those that still have not accepted him will face the great white throne judgement and sent to eternal torment in hell. The Left Behind book series puts this all into a way that can be understood. These books were written by two men that researched and is based on the book of Revelation in the bible. They are great books!

People go to Hell because they do not except Christ as their Lord and Savior. Or if they do accept Him and then sin again then God will remember that one sin that that person has just recently committed.
Now for the Lord returning...the church calls it the Rapture. After the rapture I believe that the Tribulation period will begin. The Tribulation is the period where God judges the people that were not Christians that were left behind. Millions upon millions will die during this period as a result of the plagues, earthquakes, meteors, etc. After the Tribulation, which will last for 7 years, Christ will come back for those people who were left behind the first time that became Christians during the Tribulation. The book of Revaltions goes into more details about the tribulation.

True, when we confess our sin (to Jesus) and repent (decide to stop sinning to the best of our ability), He forgives and forgets it.
But, how many people will tell you that they have not sinned, that the good they do outweighs the bad, that there is no God so why ask for figiveness or enjoy sinning and want to keep doing it and won't repent?
That should answer the first part of your question.
I'll be back to answer the rest later.
Was it really 10 hours ago?
The second comming of Jesus is in two parts. The first, He comes and catches away the Church. The Earth is left to see what it is like without God in control - the earth and man kind are left to their own resources. Satan is let loose and you have hell on earth. Seven years later Jesus comes to the earth, sets up His kingdom and chains up Satan in Hell for 1000 years.
Watch "Belivers voice of Victory" on TV this week (or on www.kcm.org) for a more detailed description.

You've gotten quite a bit of information correct.
If you repent of your sins, ask forgiveness, believe that Christ is the son of God, died on the cross and rose on the 3rd day, then you have made the first step of having a relationship with Christ. You will go to heaven. No one can ever take you away from Christ.
Now, you will start to live for Christ. When you sin after your original 'salvation' you will continue to ask for forgiveness and it is washed away. If you live for Christ, then you will have the 'fruits' of salvation.
If you do not desire holiness, or do not care about pleasing Christ or reading the Bible, then you have to question your relationship/salvation. Were you serious, did you understand, should you recommit yourself to Christ, etc...

when we sin and ask God for forgivness-yes he does forgive, people who go to hell choose their path, they know they are doing wrong, they know they do not repent,
Jesus already came the first time, when he comes back its the secound comming, before that he will take the rightous up with him, formally known as the rapture, then shortly after, Gods wrath will come on the earth, then Jesus will come back with his saints that he took off the face of the Earth at the rapture,

You are right concerning forgiveness...If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Beyond that, you really need to ask God's guidance and study for yourself the truth about hell. In my own study, I have found that hell in the bible is simply the grave. Many people believe differently but that does not make them or me right. I believe the wicked will be destroyed, they will not suffer eternal torment. I would challenge you to study and learn the truth for yourself. May God bless you as you study and learn.

those who are condemned to hell are the ones who have rejected Christ - not the ones who asked for forgiveness and turned from their sin.
Here's a different way of looking at it. If you reject Christ - you obviously don't want to be around Him. Since you can't then be in heaven where He is, you would by default, be sent to Hell, where He isn't.

First of all---not everyone asks God for forgiveness....many are not even sorry. That is why people go to hell.....
The other thing your talking about is called the "rapture" and it is simply a false interpretation of the Bible. No orthodox, mainline Christian denomination believe in that.

You're a little confused. Only those who have accepted Jesus Christ are forgiven their sins.
The second part of your question speaks about the rapture of the church. Jesus does not "come back", we (the believers) meet Him "in the air". At the second coming, Jesus bodily descends to earth and places His foot on the mount of olives. These are two separate occasions, separated by the time period known as the Great Tribulation.

God is willing to forgive and forget our sins. However it is only done according to His plan.
First we must recognize that we have broken God's law.
Second we must recognize that we will be found guilty if judged by him.
Third we must recognize that guilty sinners will be cast into Hell.
Next we must repent (turn away) from our sins.
Lastly we must accept the sacrifice of Christ upon that cross which pays the penalty for our sins.
