They seem to think there is some sort of list to follow in order to ensure a place in heaven. I thought only god knew.

I agree. Christians like that give me the sh*ts. What happened to "let he who is without sin cast the first stone"? I don't let anybody tell me where I'm gonna end up... it doesn't matter who they are, they know as much as anybody else!

Jesus said,"You can drink of the cup I drink, be baptized with the same babtism, but to sit on the right or left side of God is for those who it has already been prepared for."

And you said it, only God knows. God will wait until the last of his children has been saved--given the necessary time and experiences they need to grow.

Yes, their is is list-or a stone table. 10 commandments or as Jesus rephrased them 2: love God with all your mind, body, and soul. Love everybody.

But in order to achieve them, you have to love God and that includes trusting God. This will be the only way that you will do good for the sake of doing good, and not because you want something in return.

Clarity blinds them. They really don't know, but only think they know. It is not pretending because they truly believe it. Instead it is blindness. God is too powerful for the weak minded to grasp. So the concept of hell and who is going to it is lost on them. Jesus tells us directly not to judge another in this way. It is interesting what people like to leave out or put into their faith as a means for validation.

You Can Know!
these things have i written unto you that that believe on the name of the Son of Man; that ye may know that ye have eternal life. 1 John 5:13

1. We are all sinners
Romans 3;10. as it is written, there is none righteous no not one.

2.Gos price on sin
Romans 6:23. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life (the word death means Hell)

3. our way to Heaven
Romans 5:8. but god commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved

4. You must ask in faith
Hebrews 11:6. But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe he is.

Finally you just need to ask him in prayer.
Sample prayer. (Dear Jesus, I know that i an a sinner; if I died today in my sin, I would go to hell. Right now, by faith, I am trusting you as my Savior and my only hope for heaven. Thank you for dying on the cross for me and for saving me from an eternity in Hell. In Jesus Name Amen.

That's it!

Only God can judge the hearts of his people, but as he clearly states in the Bible there is only one way into heaven, so if you announce that you do not believe in the way to heaven then it is obvious where you are headed.

Your right. Only God knows. (Saints) people that are the children of God can only make concepts of what God really wants to get to Heaven, and they will never give up no matter what to help others according to their beliefs to free them from sin.

You can be assured of your own salvation, by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. I seek God through Jesus Christ, and I do not have to worry about if I am being good enough, for salvation is a free gift from God called Grace.

As for Hell, people can only warn you about that.

Only God truly knows a person's heart. However, there are 'fruits' that will show if a person's really committed to Christ.

The Bible does reveal what these 'fruits' are and other wonderful things about God.

nicely i'm not an atheist, yet I do have atheist acquaintances. most of the time i think of its neither. i don't think of they particularly want you to burn in hell yet i don't think of they have a actual concern for you, the two. they are doing what they have been instructed they are meant to do. they think of which will provide them brownie factors with God. What they don't understand is that the church is a corporation. A funds-making corporation. of direction they desire to recruit as many donating contributors as attainable. And the suited thank you to do it extremely is to persuade Christians that there'll be dire outcomes in the event that they don't help (and that it extremely is their accountability, as sturdy Christians, to "keep the heathens from the burning pits of hell"). Its an incredible revenues pitch, yet that's purely what it extremely is. some people do exactly not comprehend they are contributing to it

The Bible tells us that only God/Christ is the judge of all mankind. It also says that we, the people, can judge one another by the fruits that we bare. But if you judge by the fruits that people bare then you must be careful not to make any assumptions because then it becomes gossip.

Well, yes, only God knows because only God knows the true condition of your heart.

We can be fairly sure ourselves by studying the Scriptures because God, because of His infinite love for us, gave us a way to be saved, told us how to be saved, etc.
