Mormonism is confusing me, I have been researching it for my own good, but can someone show me in the REAL bible, (not the john smith books) where it says alcohol is bad? Of course im talking once your over 21... Also why are there these little rules in all these certain religions.
Shouldn't we just try to be healthy, respect others and god?

thanks

I mean no disrespect to religious people but would like to hear responses. Why did people believe Jesus and not reject him?

How can it be unprofessional behaviour by a BBC reporter when the Scientology people are doing the same thing to him with a video response? Doesn't that make the scientologists hypocrites? I mean, for example, i can say that the Hindu religion is a cult because they worship a fat cow, i can investigate that view and I can not get followed, or get a response by the religion in the form of a video response on you tube.

The time that these scientologists waste with trying to protect their "faith" through this "fair game" they could have used in trying to make their "religion" more accessible to other people. I mean, you don't see Hindu's making a video response blaming the investigative journalist, and trying to make him look bad. They just get on with it and not care, they just open their arms and say “If you want to know more we will tell you EVERYTHING”

They claim science is full of untruths, mistakes and lies, and has an agenda to "disprove" the existance of god, which it doesn't..

Yet they concoct psuedo science and misinformation to wage their attacks on science..

Mainstream scientific principles, concepts and understandings have no agenda and are testable and verifiable, yet these kooks fabricate facts and misinformation to challenge anything that may threaten their deity worship beliefs..

Why don't they see the facts for what they are, instead of making up more suitable psuedo facts..??

There will surely be examples given below..

The "New Testament": Pagan revenge

Between G-d's own miracles and the Jewish teaching of His Word, the pagan priesthoods of Egypt, Greece, and Rome were steadily losing their power over the gentile populations. They decided to fight back by creating a new religion, one that would claim to be the fulfillment of the Hebrew "Old Testament," yet would bring back the pagan lies in a new disguise.

Thus the "New Testament" was written, in Greek rather than Hebrew, and attached to the original Hebrew scriptures to try to change their meaning back toward paganism.

The "New Testament" tried to change G-d from One, as in the Hebrew scriptures, into a "trinity" as in Egyptian cults or the eastern religions of Hinduism and Buddhism. It described Jesus as G-d in a human body, like the pagans always described Pharoah and other wicked kings. It declared G-d's Law to be a "curse" that no one can truly obey, announced that there must be a "mediator" between G-d and man, and pretended that salvation could now be achieved outside the Law.

To blind the gentile nations, the "New Testament" also warned people not to learn from the Jews, declaring that Israel no longer possessed the true, complete Word of G-d.

In the Bible, the book of Daniel warned of an evil power--a false religion--that would believe in the true "G-d of fortresses... plus a god its fathers did not know." This religion would "speak bizarre words about the Most High, wear out the holy ones (the Jews), and plan to change the festivals and the religious Law."7 The Christian Church has indeed replaced Passover with Easter (the pagan holiday of Astarte and Ishtar) and Hanukah with Christmas (the pagan winter holiday).

Since then, Christian paganism has expanded to include Christmas trees, Easter eggs, and so forth.

In Divine texts God refers to himself in the most majestic terms.

Just like in some ancient kingdoms the courts would refer to the King in the plural sense to show honor and majesty.

THIS is exactly why the words in Aramaic and Arabic (maybe also Hebrew) have words which refer to God in the Absolute single tense – they are impossible to be used in the plural sense but when they are TRANSLATED, to show their majestic meaning in the original language, they are made into WE and US .

This is an example of the EXTREME danger when Revealed books are translated and re-translated without keeping the original Aramaic or Arabic.

Doesnt taht just say whichever being is more prepared will survive? Thats like saying somebody in cold weather with a jacket would have a better chance of staying warm, than a naked person. Does that really prove evolution, or disprove reiligion.

2007-05-15 12:35:32 · 21 answers · asked by uiop b 3

and its premise is that evolution occurs due to survival needs or adaptations....then why do we have intelligence, which has absolutely no survival value?

Therefore, God exists.
