My parents had the biggest influence in my life and if i come out as half as good as them i will be happy...............

My mom was an alcoholic and a drug addict. My grandma (nana) and grandpa (papa) raised me. We didn't have much money or fancy things, but we had each other and love for one another. They inspired me because I was taught that it is not the "stuff" in life that is important but the relationships with each other. They taught me to love God and to respect all people regardless of race, creed, color or religion. They inspired me to be me. They inspired me to be joyful and to live life to the full.

Family First - Dad worked hard and never gave up... Mom taught acceptance and a love of nature.
Then... Madonna (the pop singer).
As a young gay male who knew that he could not change who he was... it was so great to see a strong, independant woman tell the fundies where they could stick their censorship and judgement.
While some people found her "offensive", I think it was really important to have the acceptance of natural human sexuality that she brought into the mainstream.

Just about every teacher I ever had in school (with the exception of the gym teachers) managed to inspire me in some way.

George Washington Carver because he was very innovative. He taught me to think outside the box and that skin color is meaningless, while imagination and intelligence rules!

My father. He taught me how to handle myself in the world, he gave me a good work ethic and was always there for me when I needed it. Now that he is elderly and in frail health, I am always there when he is in need of it.
