Jesus keeps places of safety, safe: by not letting the masses know what is up, no need to advertise a good place to hide out at, in times of the abomination of desolation's. Better to keep people ignorant about such things, such things, as those things that Jesus wants to be kept a secret.

Well, some LDS might not watch TV, or have the internet. I know some who don't because they don't want all the bad stuff from those places coming into their homes. Before you start calling people stupid take a good look at yourself.

Well, if they have no desire to learn about Mormons, then they probably won't know much about them, and what they do hear is probably not true. It's like that with any religion you don't belong to. Many people don't understand Islam and don't care to learn about it. It doesn't mean that they are dumb--they just don't feel that they have a real reason to learn about it.

I don't mind that people don't know about my religion (I am Mormon), after all I am rather ignorant on many religions. It only bothers me when people who obviously don't know/understand my religion act like they do and insult it/"prove" it wrong; or they decide that they're going to tell me what I believe in which I find ridiculous. I don't tell you what your personal beliefs are and insist on it even if it's untrue, so don't do that to me. I don't understand why people feel the need to be so ignorantly hateful...

While I won't comment on the lack of grammatical skills contributing to Americans perception of Mormons, I will say that their dependence on a man who fabricated their entire religion does strike me as odd.

I don't think that a lack of knowledge about a religion makes people stupid. People often don't know the intricacies of a group of peoples beliefs. Perhaps instead of insulting people, you should inform them.

Most people only know about things they have been exposed to, try not to judge, people don't know things if they haven't been taught.
