i have many friends who are different religions buhddist, jewish, christian, shamanism, hindu and muslim. im agnostic and i have a love to argue and try and make the others point void.

i was once arguing about the exsistence of god and after a while my friend pointed out "why question me because i am happy with my connection to god whether being true or false and i dont see how it is hurting anyone".

i soon realised he had a point. so here is my question. why question religion apart from for an interesting conversation.

Something more than the obvious like keys or driver's license.

My grandma can't leave her house with out her guardian angel jewelry. My mom must have her cup of coffee. I have to have sunglasses (note my avatar.) When I forget them, like I did today, I can think of nothing else. I feel naked. In addition, it felt like my eyeballs were on fire from the bright sun!

What's the one thing you MUST have when you leave your house?

I mean how many of you think that yahoo answers has become a platform for some anti muslim people to vent out their frustrations? And do you think that yahoo answers is supporting these people? Freedom to choose is given to man by God.

Man has two main choices: 1) accept the Love of God and, upon death, go to paradise for eternity, 2) Refuse God and, upon death, just die, be utterly damned.

How is that freedom of choice when it is the same thing as A GUN TO YOUR HEAD?

I hear of so many cases of Christian women being gang-raped in other countries either when caught alone, or after their husbands have been beaten up and rendered defenseless. I'm wondering if it is okay, in the eyes of God, for a husband to fight and do whatever he must to protect his wife either from being raped or harmed? I know Jesus said to turn the other cheek, but rape is illegal, and if a man(or men) is about to rape a Christian's wife, can he shoot(if he must) them to help?

I dont know why i am feeling this way lately.I feel empty inside .I am thirtsty for God .I believe in him and his promises i just feel drained and i really dont want to feel empty inside .What should ido? I read my bible and i know it is not that so what can it be ? It feels like i eat enough but i dont get full .So if anyone have any ideas please give them to me .I am serious about this and i want to grow spritually .

There must be some device or substance that you guys use to block logic. Only your religion is true whilst every other religion is fasle? Is there more proof for your religion than there is for the Mormons? If you use logic, you'd realize that there is no proof for any religion.

My Dad went to one of his conventions in Queensland, Australia sometime ago and say he experienced it himself first hand.

Just wondering how it all works because Dad just said he felt this amazing power come over him and he just fell.

I have a feeling my Dad is not quite the full bucket of water so I just wanted to check?

Realy there are all these sins I can easily commit but I just can't deny the Holy Spirit no matter how hard I try!!! I know why:

It's because you don't want me to be able to, well to bad! Because there are over 1000 people on youtube who have denied the holy spirit to show you there is no chance that the Christian God exists.

and I thought about suicide. I cut. i cry at night. I am 17 ,and hate my life. I dont know what to do. I love God, My dad is a pastor. My parents are a huge part of my depression. They control my everymove, what i listen too, dress, and talk!....it drives me crazy. I have been so depressed it hurts physically. I feel sick phsically. And I cant take any pills because my parents....can you pray for me or give me any advice? Id love it.

We can all memorize and regurgitate..but, personal, heart felt responses from real life happenings may have more impact.

How about an intellectual answer based on something more than the Bible?

If you are trying to reach those that do not believe in the Bible...what good is quoting from a source that they do not acknowledge as being sound?

I have just become a Christian. I am non denominational.

I have several piercings and a tattoo. I love them all.

But I have read that if you are a Christian you shouldn't have them. What are the arguments for and against piercings and tattoos? (From the Christian perspective)
