Boy, let's talk about some serious stereotyping!!!!! What makes you think Jesus was a hippy and where was this documented? Secondly, what makes you think that all hippy's smoke "grass"? And thirdly to answer your question, I don't think there is enough water to grow good "grass" in the desert! Geesh!!!

Exactly where is that well documented. The term hippie didn't start until the 1960's and I believe Jesus was just a little before that time.

there is a pretty good chance considering the area and the era that there was no stigma against the use of marijuana, hashish or it's other derivatives. There was probably a lot of hemp grown for rope and fiber. farmers work hard and like a little chill time so it's possible they grew some kind bud as well. Most of the references to recreational drug use have been removed from historical literature why not the bible too. It's possible that Jesus used the recreational highs of his time. Is it important one way or the other?

'The Hippies' were the protesters of the Vietnam War, mostly college-aged kids in the 60's. Of course , illiterate slobs who aren't aware of this are so numerous that this distinction easily escapes them, as do most of the subtleties in life.
What doesn't escape them is what time the boss's clock says, or if he's watching or where the break room is located. (the one with the candy machines) Also there's that innate tendency of the slacker to make broad ignorant statements, totally lacking in depth, or any redeeming content.
Then they are famous for ridiculing, which is the cry for help from one who has 'run out of supplies', if you know what I mean.

The Bible clearly states Jesus' reputation as "a glutton and a drunk" but there is no mention of him being a stoner. He had his uptight moments and was not nearly mellow enough to be a hippy. I'm not sure a hippy could actually have "disciples".

Jesus did not come in the 60's. As a far as grass, the Holyspirit was in him. By your question I can til what was in you,Grass! Wisdom will keep you from the paths of wicked people. Do not be wise in your own eyes.

He liked to walk on the grass.
I'm sure he probably would have liked cutting grass, but they didn't have lawnmowers back then.

What makes you say he was a hippie? Just an average looking, rugged Jewish carpenter, is all.
