Totally right! They'll never see it though. I notice on questions like this, you know, the harder questions, suddenly no one wants to answer!
See? Still waiting......
still waiting.....
It's gotten so quiet in here!
They're a little less mouthy when you present them with something they can't quote scripture at, aren't they?

Not only is God not holding a gun to our head, He has done all He can to effect our salvation, going so far as to die an excruciating death on the cross (just seeing how people recognize the redundancy there :oP ). All that's left for us to do is to accept His gracious gift.
Furthermore, there's nothing arbitrary about the choice. It takes two to have a relationship and if we refuse that relationship, we are, by definition, separated from God.

He did give us free will. An example is choosing to believe there is a God or not. Many people choose not to believe because there isn't enough evidence for them. However, if God gave absolute irrefutable evidence so no one could not believe, then we would be like dogs. With absolute evidence, we really wouldn't have a choice, and would be akin to having "A GUN TO YOUR HEAD!" I think He lovingly did so.

So you've never done anything wrong? EVER lied, even a small one? LIAR. Stolen ANYTHING at all, even a piece of gum? THIEF. Made fun of God (oh no not YOU, never)??
BLASPHEMER
Listen, Malcolm - if GOD is GOD then HE is perfect, yes?
He would have to be all-powerful, all-knowing and be able to be anywhere He wanted to at once to BE GOD. He would have to be PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. Agree?
As a part of HIS perfection, HE would have to be absolute LIGHT and TRUTH, with NO derivations thereof. Still agree?
So He could never LIE, never STEAL or never Blaspheme, yes?
GOD being GOD, is perfection, has a right to it, and cannot substitute anyhting else for it, yes? I mean, if HE is GOD, that has to be a rule!
So, as GOD, can HE let any of those things I spoke of in HIS presence?? NO
WE chose the sin- we choose lying, stealing and mocking God. We put the gun to our OWN head -
That is why Jesus died - so that GOD would accept us through HIM, since HE is perfect.
Flex all you want; mock it, bash it - it doesn't change what Jesus did - for YOU.

You are drowning! God throws you a life raft. Climb on this finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary's cross or refuse the raft and sink to eternal separation from God and his free gift of salvation forever! Acts 16:31

You are looking at it all wrong though- that is why you say that. It is the opposite as a gun to your head----let me put it this way, so you can understand better about salvation in Christ Jesus....it is like you are on a plane and it is going down and someone is offering you a parachute- do you take it?

It is still a free choice.
You would think that with the given consequences, that people would find it easy to make the right decision, but some people do not.
God makes it very easy to make the right choices.

But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God. I am small in worth, and yet, the Lord God Almighty thinks about me!

With free-will, your not responsible or accountable....I call that Lovingly.
It's only His Elect that are accountable for their actions.
