I hear of so many cases of Christian women being gang-raped in other countries either when caught alone, or after their husbands have been beaten up and rendered defenseless. I'm wondering if it is okay, in the eyes of God, for a husband to fight and do whatever he must to protect his wife either from being raped or harmed? I know Jesus said to turn the other cheek, but rape is illegal, and if a man(or men) is about to rape a Christian's wife, can he shoot(if he must) them to help?

Jesus wasn't getting raped when he said to turn the other cheek. God doesn't expect you to just take it. You have every right to defend yourself and if all you (or the people around you) can do is fight back, then I'm sure that's okay.

No matter what a person's religion, it is always right to do what ever you have to in order to save the life of another.
I'm not a Christian, but I think that turning the other cheek was not meant for this circumstance.
So yes, if he has to he can shoot to save his wife from such a brutal attack, that is called self defense, or the defense of one in emanate danger.

Judges is a surprising e book. This dark time in Israel's history revealed wholesale lawlessness that pervaded the land " In those days Israel had no king, each and every person did as he observed extra healthful." (21:25) yet, the main suggestions-blowing isn't how returned and returned the Israelites "refused to resign their evil practices and stubborn techniques"(2:19) No, the main staggering revelation from Judges is the way God unfailingly spoke back With mercy and forgiveness whilst His human beings ultimately confessed their sins and became from their wicked techniques.

If evil appears to die as you protect a loved one, that is fine, because evil did not come from God. If you must kill a man to protect your wife, then you must. God knows you are not guilty of killing a holy man, and a rabid dog must be put down on earth.

Of course, I think anybody has the right to defend themselves and others they see being seriously hurt-- of course our first choice would be to just "knock them out" or something, so they could go to jail- but if it came down to it and you had to kill somebody because they were going to kill you, then yes I would have to. (and YES my husband would, my husband said he would go hunt someone down that abused our kids in any way and kill them....I don't know if he could actually do it, but sometimes I think he could and he is a born again christian! But the thought of our kids being abused in any way would make him so angry, as would any parents....that would just be so hard)
