It's a well know fact that he was a devote cathlic. So where does this belief come from?

"Therefore, I am convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Creator. By fighting off the Jews, I am doing the Lord's Work." This is a quote from Hitler. There seem to be a lot of people who believe they are christian but not christian. Isn't the definition of christinity is that you believe that Jesus is the son of god. Not by acts you may do?

"I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so." Another quote of Hitler. He obviously considered himself a cathlic.

Because he was evil.. and for far too many people, atheist=evil. Most would rather not look beyond that assumption for the truth.

But, your claim that he was a devout Catholic is false.

He was raised a Catholic, then left Catholicism but still believed in God (though he criticized traditional Christianity).

"Hitler advocated a "Positive Christianity", a belief system purged from what he objected to in traditional Christianity, and reinvented Jesus as a fighter against the Jews"

A good book that outlines in detail Hitlers view of the churches is: The nazi Persecution of the Churches by J. S. Conway (1968)

The book states "there can be no doubt of his antipathy to Christianity and to the Christian Churches"

Whatever Hilter's religious background, Christianity clashed with long term Nazi aims. Still the Nazi's made use of Christianity, they even modelled Nazi baptisms and weddings on Church services.

The churches themselves did much to try to win Hitler's favor, for example the Evangelical Churches in Germany sent Hitler a telegram on the tenth anniversary of the Nazi take over of power, they proclaimed total loyalty to Hiltler and Nazi ideals. A few ministers opposed the Nazi's. The only group to refuse to submit to Nazi ideals as a whole were Jehovah's Witnesses, they quickly became object of Nazi fury and were the first religious group to be singled out and banned by the Nazi's.

He was raised Catholic but did not care much about the Catholic religion. Surely he was not a Christian in later life and actually practiced the occult and astrology, although much of his hate for the Jews was because he believed that they were the cause of many of his countries ills. But even in 1920's the Arabs were trying to push the Jews out of Palestine. Most Arab Muslims sided with the Nazis in WW II.

No via fact we can't use our salvation as an excuse to sin. "For specific adult males whose condemnation became into written approximately till now have secretly slipped in between you. they are godless adult males, who exchange the grace of our God right into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our in basic terms Sovereign and Lord" Jude a million:4 "all of us know that anybody born of God would not proceed to sin" 1st John 5:18 "stay as loose adult males, yet do not use your freedom as a conceal-up for evil; stay as servants of God" 1st peter 2:sixteen word the two certainly one of those expenses have been in 1933 while Hitler merely got here to skill. Many leaders candy communicate while they are merely elected. Its the comparable element with modern politicians asserting God bless united statesa. and that stuff. they want to glorify the country via fact while they are in fee of the country that's going to be as though they are those being glorified. subsequently Hitler regularly spoke approximately how Germany may be extra advantageous then God and God might serve Germany. the guy became right into a nut. and usually while he refereed to the divine he used the word "windfall", very such as George Washington

Perhaps because he did none of the things which Jesus commanded us to do? Just because someone was born in a religion, does not make them that. They choose between good and evil, and Hitler definitely chose evil.

You don't become something just by saying you are. Christians (especially Catholics- the real Catholics, not those who go around saying they're Catholic, but don't follow the religion), are very conservative and totally against killing & sin. Maybe he just SAID he was a Christian, but saying you are a Christian doesn't make you one; you have to follow the 10 commandments and all of God's rules... which hitler did not follow.

Most people can not believe a true Christian could commit such atrocious acts upon other individuals. He was not a Christian, nor a true believer in God.
