About Confession. I know in the Catholic faith, we go to a priest, confess our sins and do our pennance. But, I've been told (repeatedly) that other Christian faiths don't. They just pray to God.

So, I gotta know how you do that. Do you pray after you commit a sin? Do you confess to God on a weekly basis (God, this week I cussed, I lied to my boss, and let Timmy talk me into seeing that dirty movie kind of thing)?

I'm not trying to be sarcastic or mocking or anything like that. I really want to know. Until I came here, I honestly thought that Confession was a Christian thing, not a Catholic thing.

As a former fetus, I can say with absolute certainty, that knowing what I know now, and since I am currently in the process of living the life I now live; that if my mother would have aborted me, I would not be living the life I am now living. Therefore, I conclude that abortion does indeed deprive an individual of the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Now for the question: Wouldnt that make abortion unconstitutional? Supreme court here I come, shall they not be interested in hearing from a former fetus?

A man has come out of nowhere, and he has charmed the melting pot, with his diversity and when he speaks, all the masses listen and feel a connection to him. He speaks of peace, and a world where we can fix our problems by coming together and globalizing. He has wooed the white man, drawn ties to the black man, claimed a Jewish first name with the meaning blessed, and a Arab ancestry and ties to Indonesia and Hawaii. He has charmed his way into being the next presidential candidate, although he is only 46 years old. He is attractive, and says all the right things. He claims christianity, but in his own words, because it is power in the black community, for the political agenda. He went to an Islamist school, and claims it was no big deal. He has worked up the political ladder, and seems to come from nowhere, which draws people to him, because of his mysteriousness. All background information cannot be verified, except by his family members. His mom left him to weave baskets in Indonesia

I mean besides those in the Congress. I personally don't worry much about politics but when politics undermine the success of a war, the future of the Iraqi people, and the saftey of our Country, this outrages me!

I mean honestly do we want to give up in a year or less? I mean are we honestly prepared to surrender and say taht we were unsuccessful? Do Americans actually careless about the Iraqis and the success and saftey of the Nation and the citizens living there? Do Americans really support bipartisan politics to control and make military decisions?

I SAY!
Allow the U.S. Generals and people on the ground make military decisions lets support our troops and give them the funds they need to protect our country, themsleves, and the Iraqi people.

If not , its not surprising, not many have. By the way, he was the doctor that was supposed to have found the cure for cancer by now, but sadly and unfortunately, he was aborted in 1973. Which makes me wonder, who else has been aborted that would have been helpful to the human race?

This is a very practical and serious question. Does He ACTUALLY avenge His children's suffering!? It seriously doesnt seem like it. At least not nowadays. I've been going through a lot of bad crap and God doesnt seem to be there or care.

Anti-social personality disorder is not the disorder where people avoid society.

It's this:
Antisocial Personality Disorder Symptoms

Disregard for society's expectations and laws
Unlawful behavior
Violate rights of others (property, physical, sexual, legal, emotional)
Physical aggression
Lack of stability in job, home life
Lack of remorse
Superficial charm and wit
Impulsiveness

Yes, they are a threat to this world.

I believe that many of you confused antisocial personality disorder with avoidant personality disorder. This disorder is the one where a person avoids society.

Rev 19:10 At that I fell down before his feet to worship him. But he tells me: “Be careful! Do not do that! All I am is a fellow slave of you and of your brothers who have the work of witnessing to Jesus. Worship God; for the bearing witness to Jesus is what inspires prophesying.

What does it consist of? Information, An "encoded" fate, Your hormonal structure? I understand that atheists may retort that the soul is a myth, but note, I am not limiting my question to opinions of an "eternal soul" alone.

I'd really appreciate personalized answers over bible scriptures. Thanks!

this was part of a recent question from a christian

"Yes I would die for my faith in Christ [God]. I hope to never have to do it and I would hate to leave my kids but I would because it is more important than anything I have or posess. Christ gave His life for me I would gladly give mine for Him. He will care for my kids."

isn't this the exact way of thinking that cult followers show to their cult leaders? how is this different from the other cults? other cults (like the one in Waco) thought they were the truth, thought they were good, thought they were living the way they were supposed to. how is christianity different?

i'm not looking for answers that say "because the bible says so" (because i'm sure these other cults have bible type books too)
