Jesus was raised on the Syrian border of Hellenized Galilee, in a suburb of one of the largest Greek cities in Syria. It would have been extremely unusual if he were uneducated. He spoke Greek almost exclusively (the Gospels go out of their way to point out the rare moments when he reverted to Aramaic), he was familiar with the Greek Septuagint (quoted from the Greek OT almost exclusively), but was able to switch to the Hebrew reading when it suited him. According to John, he spent most of his adult life in the Greek Decapolis. Galilean Jews were typically well educated in public schools, and were heavily Hellenized compared to their Judean neighbors. When the Jews in Jerusalem identified Simon as a Galilean, it was because of his Greek accent - not because he talked like a hick.
But it is nice to see that some folks are still promoting the idea of Jesus as a country bumpkin, even though scholars have completely overturned that misconception in recent years.

Yet he knew how to answer the questions of the Pharisees and Saducees, who were the most educated people in Judaism at the time, equivalent to a PhD in modern times. He also had about the same education as anyone in his time.

You obviously have a whole lot to discover, But, be open minded and maybe read the Bible and ask God for the Holy Spirit to reveal real knowledge to you. I use to be where you are at and I had to learn the hard way also.
The supernatural realm is awesome if you happen to go far enough in your intellectual pursuit. It is well worth the trouble. Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

what makes you think he had less education than a 5 year old? education is not obtained by simply going through public education (private or home-schooled either). As far as I know, the Bible doesn't mention him going to school, but I'm sure he did, and also, he would have learned things from his parent's and the people around him. And he was God's son, so he knows everything there is to know anyways.

Salamo alikom every one,
each one of us is taught since he is 5 by his parents and school. But Jesus was taught by God the all knowing and of all wisdom.
Besides Jesus did not teach math or physics,he taught how to lead a life in the way God wants you to,being a simple farmer in India or a Rocket scientest in NASA.

Hey mushy, Jesus was born with the fullness of God, and God is all knowing, so all the education this world has to offer would've been and is irrelevant. C-YA

hehe..... you are absolutely right........ the problem is in what you are taught since your childhood..... that lets you not see what exactly is out there....... because you look at the world through the prism of your mind......... and what is mind....... the concepts you have learned in your education..... as well as what you learn from books.......... that trash that you are taught keeps you away from seeing the truth......... that is why today we have educated fools..... who cannot think beyond books and mental concepts...... its good that jesus had less education :)
