My mate says that after reading the bible it is clear that god often uses a raw material to create things, he created Adam out of the earth (like modelling clay I assume), created Eve from one of Ad's ribs, created muslims from rats, that type of thing, so what raw material did he use to create the earth in the first place, did he just magic it up from nowhere?

Matthew 15:7-9
"Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
But in VAIN they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."

Have people taken this religion and twisted it to convey their OWN message?
I think people take the Bible and interpret it to say what THEY want it to say.
Do you agree or disagree? Why?
No "canned" answer please!

Gee, what an awful crime.

I can certainly see how the followers of a "loving god" would have no problem murdering several million people over this....

...and if you are thinking about calling me a blasphemer then I already know that...

People don't really seem to support the 10 commandments when it comes to things like war anyway... It doesn't say "Thall shalt not kill unless you are fighting terrorists for Bush..."

so I don't know why some people are so intent on them being posted in court houses... but anyway, I digress...

What are YOUR 10 commandments?

Even for those of you out there who are Christians, the Apocalypse may not be the answer. I don't remeber it saying that man will cease to exist; in fact, in Revelations, humans are sai to live on Earth after the rapture until the final judgement. But then what? Does the Earth cease to exist along with all life on it? (I may need to touch up on my theology)

For those who believe something entirely different, will man live on forever? Even IF the earth becomes uninhabitable, what about space colonization? Will human life find a way to exist, being the extremely adaptable kind we are?

I was just curious, could someone give me the passage from the bible where it says homsexuality is wrong?

In my personal opinion, homsexuality is a sexual orientation that one is born with, one that cannot be changed, or shouldn't be attempted to change. Now, this is not a bias-question, though. I am not here to judge who is right or wrong, but to ask a question I have been wanting the answer to, so please, no bashing answers. I am not familiar with the bible, but I have heard people says this, so I would like to know the passage, verse if possible.

It is deeply appreciated! Thanks in advance! =]

I listen to music other than Christian music. I guess i thought that unless the music said things unpleasing to God it was okay. How do you feel about this?

Some might say he was a lawyer (like the movie Devil's Advocate) but I don't know that it's very convincing...

Maybe a Fox News Coordinator?

Or the creator of American Idol?

I read Atheistic arguments on the internet and I believe what they're saying. I have never read the Bible, and no nothing about it, but I know it is false because from what I have heard, it sounds like a mythbook. The idea of there being a God is so crazy. And there is no "proof" of there being a Jesus besides the Bible, which is a fablebook. I will never believe the works of a Bronze Age historian. I think historians are even lying about there being an Alexander the Great. Alexander the Great never existed. I don't trust anything coming from historians back then. They all were crazy. The scholars who say Jesus existed are ignorant and crazy. He never existed. He was created as a human form of the god Horus, who was born on December 25, was known as the Son of God, died as a Savior, and was buried and ressurected in 3 days. There is no God or Jesus. The air and the fact I'm breathing doesn't prove God exists. I'm sorry. We got here becuase of universal collisions and bacteria. Not God.

Why do people feel that they need to go to a church to warship? A church is just a building, as is your own home. I do not go to church yet I still believe in God, I live my life as a good person, I do not need a church to reinforce my belief system.

I read my bible. I am in corporate worship. I have accepted Christ as my Savior. I know that I know that I know that I have a place in heaven. I am greatful. I dont know what to do in my life. I had an accident and lost my job and my mobility. There have been several crisis including surgery for my son, a son and neice with turmors, empty nest, husband laid off --all in 6 mos. I have done my best to drawn near to Christ and stay focused on Him. It has carried me through my own cancer and this difficult time. My husband became angry with God and bitter that this could happen, especially to me. He is nasty. He blames me for everything. He swears and complains. I can't take much more. I keep getting different answers from Christian friends(the bible says if you are unequally yoked stay and be long suffering)...but neither of us were saved when we were married. Please pray the I would get clarity on this. Please pray a hedge of protection for us, we are under attack.

let's run down all the laws that are u.s. laws, biblical laws, and see if there's any contradiction between the two. and remember "in god we trust" and "one nation under god" are not laws. ok? me first.

biblical laws - commandments 1-5 are all about worshiping one god, however u.s. law grants us all the freedom of religion
in the first amendment.

who's next?
