Paganism is actually anything that isn't Judaism, Christianity, or Islam. It is usually used to mean any of the old religions of Europe. Wicca is a new pagan religion based loosely on the Celtic religion of old. There are currently two kinds of Satanism, one where believers are Christians with issues and actually worship the Christian Satan and one that has long since separated itself from the Christian idea of Satan. There is no Satan in most pagan religions, he is a Christian construct. There are huge differences in pagan religions about beliefs, practice and god-constructs. Though there are lots of histories of proud warriors, most pagan religions are peaceful and don't believe in "converting" others.

As far as a know, Wicca the philosophy for witches and sorciers.. It is mainly based on the power of nature and of all belonging to it.
Satanism is a philosophy based on enhancing the individual person and his power vs. god.
I think the only thing they have in common is the "pentáculo", I don't know the word in English, but it is that 5 points star which is the symbol of paganism. However, the use it with different meanings. besos!

Well Satanism is the worship of Satan... And to be Pagan or Wiccan is to be part of an actual religion. It has nothing to do with the worshiping of Satan or anything like that at all.

Pagan/Wicca is not related in any way to Abrahamicism (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) and Satanism is a reaction to Abrahamicism.

Wiccans have their own mythologies, they don't need to borrow things from Christians.

That being said, many Satanists are atheists, and don't believe in the very Abrahamic mythology they borrow.
Abrahamicists-Monotheists.
Satanists-Monotheists or atheists (mostly)
Wiccans-polytheists
non-Wiccan Pagans- Most Polytheists, some atheists.

Even the most minimal research will demonstrate that Satanism is a completely different philosophy from Wicca or Paganism.

The 9 Satanic Statement of LaVeyan Satanism are a far cry from the Wiccan Rede:

1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence!
2. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams!
3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit!
4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates!
5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek!
6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires!
7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all!
8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!
9. Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years!

To sparkling up some incorrect information: no remember what Laveyans call themselves, they are not Satanists. If somebody reported, "i do no longer think in God yet i'm Christian," it does no longer make any experience. It would not make any experience with Satanism the two. i'm a widespread Satanist. i do no longer "have faith in" God yet I renowned his life. I continuously love how people who want they have been Satanists turn far off from the term devil worshipper. stupid human beings. Oh, yea... And the exhilaration of devil (suggested by employing Frau Hunter) isn't a Satanist team. they seem to be a Nazi cult. actually, they have faith that devil is an alien that basically likes white human beings. sounds like racist scientology to me. in case you elect to appreciate approximately actual Satanism, look up the Cathedral of the Black Goat. purchase Father Myrmydon's e book, the devil's Bible. stop complicated atheists and Nazis with Satanists.
