As it has has already been stated, Jesus Christ was a Jewish Rabbi. Christianity in it's early days was considered a sect of Judaism. The notice posted on the cross during His crucifixion stating "Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews" was actually meant as an insult to the Jewish people.
When Jesus Christ returns, which I pray is soon, he will be King not only of the Jews but of all nations and all men and women.

First Jesus never claimed to be the King of the Jews. It was a derogitory title given to Him. Second a Christian is someone who FOLLOWS Christ. So Jesus can not literally be labled a Christian. Jesus Christ one and only purpose for living on earth as a man was to die for the sins of mankind. I won't get into the preaching of it cause I tend to get a little long winded but Jesus Christ never intended to be an earthly king. He was the Messiah the Jews were looking for. He was the Savior of all mankind. Jesus Christ came to redeem the world and bring all mankind to God the Father.

I dont know much about religion so I probably shouldn't be answering this question but Jesus was King of Jews because he was Jewish. Christianity is the faith that follows Jesus, he invented it.

It's just another title, like Morning Star, Son of God, Son of Man, Lamb of God, Blasphemer, False Prophet, etc... it's all in how people perceived him. Technically, christ was not christian, he was an Orthodox Jew, which is what his followers should have been.
With that being said, the Jews did not consider Jesus their king. Hey, you can stick feathers up your butt all day, but no one that has ever seen a chicken is going to confuse you for one.

You have to ask the people who created the english launage, because here is what the Wikipedia said is the defininition of "Christian"............
A Christian is a person who professes belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ. While it is not necessary to be a member of a church to be a Christian, many Christians affiliate themselves with a particular branch of Christianity.
I dont personally think "Religion" started until after Jesus died and then every one did what ever.
Also what I think people forget is that "Religion" is a way of life, it is some thing that you do regulary, if you wash your face at 3pm every day then you wash your face "religiously". So the word religion is widely misunderstood person to person.
Jewish is not a religion, the perople are jewish, as some are white, black, hispanic, and so on, they are Jewish, thier religion is "Judasim". Jesus was Jewish, it does not say he praticed Judasim.
I hope this helps

Jesus is not a Christian. Christians are followers of Christ, and Jesus wasn't just following Himself around... Besides, He is the King of Kings, which gives Him authority over both.

Well, they kind of didn't have Christianity yet during Christ's days... since it's a religion based on His life and His teachings...
Jesus was born to Jewish parents. During His time, the Jews were the prominent religion. It was prophesized that one day a Messiah would come to the Jews. This was brought to fruition through the virgin birth of Christ.

Jesus was Jewish, not a Christian. The church that was established based upon his person and work is Christianity. Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords; therefore, he is king of the Jews. He is king over all of us because he is God.

Because he was born a Jew, and prophesied by Jewish prophets. He actually wasn't a Christian, because the term Christian came around after he was gone, and was created by people outside the faith who knew something about Jesus. The word literally means "christ-like", or someone who behaved like Christ. When it's put that way though, you realize that many who claim to be Christians, really don't live up to the title.
