You will benefit from the techniques of breathing, meditation and mantras. This techniques will enhance our contact with God, so that the Holy Spirit can nourish our bodies thru the silver cord (Ecclesiastes 12:6). The same techniques are part of the Psalms of David and the Songs of Solomon. They were also practiced by Jesus and all the prophets. This way we can listen better to God by clearing the kaleidoscopic impressions of daily life from our mind.

It actually a pretty peaceful and inclusive religion. If I were to put my name back in the hat, I would probably start there or in Buddhism, they have less violent histories than the rest, and the idea of Ganesh taking peanuts from me sounds fun.

I won't say don't study Hinduism. I'll just offer a word of caution about openmindedness, and I am serious when I say this. Don't be so openminded that your brain falls out.
Thank you for accepting my honest answer.
God loves you and so do I.

Just remember in your research: Is the founder of this religion alive or dead? Can he answer my prayers today? Does he have a personal and loving interest in MY life?
