It is God who does the choosing not us. Whether life in heaven or part of the great crowd which no man is able to number that live forever on a paradise earth, it's a toss up.

The point is to have a right heart attitude to get there.

First of all, the 144 thousand is not the number the Jehovah Witnesses talk about.

The scripture mentioned in Revelation chapter 7, is part of a whole subject being delivered to the saints of the Most High, which means all the redeemed, and not just a select few.

The 144,000 have already been chosen.

But you can be one of the other group mention in Rev. 7: 9, the Great Crowd from all nations and tribes and peoples.

What is their hope? Rev. 7: 14 "...these are the ones that come out of the great tribulation"
Rev. 7: 16 & 17 "They will hunger no more nor thirst anymore,...And God will wipe out every tear from their eyes."
Rev. 21: 3 & 4 "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
Ps. 37: 10 & 11 & 29 " ...the meek ones themselves will possess the earth and they will indeed find their exquiste delight in the abundance of peace. The righteous themselves will possess the earth, .and they will reside forever upon it."

How can you be part of this group?
John 17:3 "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you the only true God, and the one whom you sent forth Jesus Christ."

You don't. The 144,000 spoken of in Revelation are male virgins who are persecuted and killed for their faith in Christ.
There are 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes of Israel.

They are not the 144,000 Jehovah's witnesses who were the most faithful and worthy of entering heaven. I am very glad that lie is not according to scripture. It would be kind of scary to think that only 144,000 of the millions of people that ever lived will go to Heaven.

EDIT: The thumbs down obviously comes from either a Jehovah's Witness or someone who is ignorant of scripture.

The Bible says you have to be a male, Jewish virgin to be among the 144,000 and you have to know what tribe you are from.

These are chosen by God and Jesus said they had stuck with him in his trials. There's another hope that King David wrote of at Psalm 37:9-11, which Jesus referred to- that the meek would inherit the earth. Mainstream Christianity does not teach that the majority of God's people will inherit the earth, but the bible does!

These ones are chosen by God - his firstfruits who have been washed clean in the blood of the lamb.

Read Revelation 20:4; 14:1,3

These ones have no doubt in their mind that they are of the chosen ones. God's holy spirit has come upon them, and they know it. If you have to question it, then you are not among them.

But you do have the eartly hope.
Read Psalms 72:8; Revelation 21:3,4; Psalms 37:9-11.

1) Be Jewish

2) Come through the Tribulation alive.

3) Be able to verify that you are a member of one of the original Twelve Tribes.

Do whatever the church says. Or whatever some powerful person (who uses this for an excuse) says.

According to Christ: "No man knoweth the day or the hour." So how does anyone know WHO exactly the 144k are? The assumption that someone knows they are part of that number is very arrogant.
