Now that many schools districts have to teach creationism along with evolution, do you think its fair to the students? Intelligent design IS religion- it teaches that some high intelligent being -ie, god- created the world. Religious students have the option of going to a religious high school or going to sunday school- is it really fair to people who aren't religious to force religion into public schools? Where are the children of atheists going to go? What happened to freedom of religion?

animals and people are competing for the land, the animals were usually there first, so isn't it the people that are overrunning the land and aren't the people the ones who should be reduced so they don't deprive animals of their God-given habitats. Put the blame for overpopulation where it belongs: don't blame the animals.

I have people quoting the Bible all the time and I don't know how they do it. There are so many pages and verses in the Bible, isn't it impossible? I can't remember any verses.

did not care for, who is rather obnoxious, and they asked you to give them a ride to Bible study that you both attended. Now this person lives way out of your way, but you can think of no legitimate reason not to pick this person up (other than possibly the cost of gas). And you know that this person has a habit of taking advantage of people by bumming rides all the time. And this Bible study is once a week year round.

If the only people who had the power to stop catastrophic climate change and over-utilization of world resources believed a religious prophecy that stated that the end of the world was near, and therefore had no interest in the long-term habitibility of the planet?

Am I OUT OF CONTEXT once more??

God sets us all up to fail, admits that no man is without sin, except for Jesus and then expects us to somehow rid ourselves of it, so what makes Satan so special? His sin was pride--who among us has never been proud? Adam and Eve caused the ruination of paradise, made all our lives more difficult with their sin, lucifer's just got him cast into a fiery pit that was already there, so why do we make him the bad guy?

Its' true!

Ezekiel 20:25-26 I also gave them over to statutes that were not good and laws they could not live by; I let them become defiled through their gifts—the sacrifice of every firstborn—that I might fill them with horror so they would know that I am the LORD.

So, how do you know they are giving you the "right" one?

Maybe they are deceiving heretics leading you to hell...

I like to read the bible every now and then when i get the chance too. Not just cause it's the holy bible. I actually find the different books of the bible very interesting. I don't memorize every verse of the bible or anything like that. I just find it meaningful when i read it.

Every now and then when i think over what i read, i start to get questions and most of the time i get my answer just by re reading the part where my question lies.

Any ways to my question, I was at work yesterday and i was thinking about how God created the Heavens and the Earth and the animals, the trees and mankind and everything else. Well for some reason this question kept popping in my head and i can't figure it out. Maybe i am just thinking about it too much lol.

My question is when they say in the bible "In the beginning, God created the (Heavens) and the Earth." What do they mean by Heavens? more then one heaven or does that just describe the vast universe that lies just out side of earth?
