I think if a parent finds out their child is making fun of or picking on other children, then they should defiantly have a talk with their child and tell them it's unacceptable. If that doesn't work, then they need to find another form of punishment. I'm not suggesting spanking because that goes against everything I believe, ( NO! I'm not implying that if someone does spank their child, within reason, their abusive, but it's just not a form of punishment we use in our house. Both my husband and I were spanked by our parents and we turned out fine!) but grounding or taking something away from them would be the way I would go.
I think if we parents know our child is picking on other children and we do nothing about it, it's sending a message that it's perfectly ok to be a bully! And that is simply not right!

Yes and I believe that teachers should be more alert to the suffering of other children at the hands of some brat.
Those children girl or boy that is known as a bully or instigator should be punished and expelled from school.

Parents should be punished for not teaching their children not to make fun of other children. Children should be taught to have fun with other children and not make fun of them.

If you find that sort of behavior unacceptable, then a child should be punished for harassing another child. Psychological abuse can leave deep scars in the psyche of the abused. Nowadays, that could create all sorts of problems for the child later in life. Children should be encouraged to take care of one another, physically as well as mentally.

Yes, stop it while they are young. (And I don't mean to spank, but to teach them a lesson) Teach them to be compassionate, and what its like to be in the other persons shoes. Teach them that color and race doesn't matter, but the way that a person treats them should be taken into account. C'mon people, just a little common sense in raising our children would make this world a little better!

I think that someone should explain to the child that certain words are hurtful and can hurt another person's feelings and self-esteem. I really don't know what other kind of punishment you can give for that.

Yes. With a spanking. And no less than 5 spanks. No more than 7 spanks.
