Actually, it was invented by an American, Howard Garns.

It is a good source to encourage you to judge your own religious or non-religious beliefs. It deals not with what is, but what is missing.

I am asking for specific records, documents or anything of the sort. I am NOT asking for biblical verses which prove that what I'm asking for existed. False prophets did exist then, and I again am NOT looking for biblical quotes... I can read. If you know of a HISTORICAL source please list it.

"Thou Shall Not Kill" is a translation error.

If Christians cannot get God's Ten Commandments right, why would anyone trust them not to make other major errors?

Do you know of some other errors to quote?

There's some on here that asks some decent questions, and give some good decent answers, but for the rest, the lowest kindergarden classes would ask more sensible questions and give a whole lot better answers. I didn't know this generation was in such miserable condition.

If God is real and Omnipotent he can and will do pretty much what he damn well pleases and nobody knows what that decision will be. He might just decide to put you all on a skewer and roast you over the flames of Hell just for his own pleasure.

I've asked this question, another person pointed out that another answerer brought a good point about works but because the answer came from a Buddhist many kept with the idea of 'faith alone salvation' even though this person was inspired to go out and do something. 'Whatsoever you do to the least of my people, that you do unto me'...does this resonate with anyone? It really should in my opinion. The world isn't collapsing i.e Darfur, Iraq etc because of lack of prayer, it's because no one is really taking action to help. Man created the problem but no one is going to fly down from anywhere and fix it. That is like burying your head in the sand.
We CAN make a difference with our actions and we are at the point where we MUST act. I am really having a hard time with this. Yes, I'm a Buddhist as well, so let's get that out of the way.
Further thoughts?

It appaers as though there are many Muslims on this site.
Is it because there are a lot of people thinking to become Muslim.
Is there a real draw to the religion?
Is it because the Old Christian religion is loseing it's appeal?
The craving for something new perhaps.

Anyone can logically deduce that man's sinful nature was NOT a result of natural selection but from eating a magic fruit after heeding the words of a talking snake. Case closed.

"Listen, my beloved brethren: did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?"

In what sense has God chosen the poor of this world?

I'm not asking this question to offend anyone. I'm studying marriage from different religious aspects, and this question was brought up in class.

Do you think there's a flaw? Some ideas that were brought up were:
- permittance of easy divorce
- a patriarchal-based life shared by the couple
- rejection of unmarried sex
- permittance of concubine(s)
- rejection of contraceptive sex
- requirement of endogamy (Jews marrying Jews only)

Any opinions regarding the above topics would be great. Thanks!
