Below are the first few lines from the Declaration of Independence:

Is the said document taught in US public schools? Isn't creationism very explicit here?

If someone believes it is his/her own business they shouldn't ctiticise the ones that don't believe (and this would prove wisdom also), and the atheists also shouldn't mind and criticise the ones that believe. Of course we should share our points of view but in a civilised and detached manner

If you say literal , does that mean as a woman, I'm not supposed to talk in church or sleep next to my husband during my "femine period"? Or that people were justified in enslavering people since it is absolutely condoned in the Bible ( yes the Bible was used to prove that it is okay to own people and they were right since it does say that)?

If you say just symbolic: then euh.....is there a God? what exactly is it symbolic of?

If you say both: how do you choose what is supposed to be taken literally and what isn't? Where does it say that the Bible evolves with the times?

Why this constant conflict between science and religion? Science is the method for unravelling the marvels of Gods creation, and if anything only serves to unveil His glory, not disprove his existence! So why is it the the two parties fail to see that science and religion are indeed compatible, and not opposing ideas?
