If this is a good as life gets, I don't know what to do.
What can you do?

How do we enjoy it while it lasts if all but a few live lives of mediocrity?

If life doesn't get any better than this (and don't start on the Christian afterlife b.s.), should I just end it?

Vocal Christians often proclaim their belief in Christ and that they've been saved by Jesus. Yet, when push comes to shove they quote and follow the OLD Testament while ignoring the words of Jesus in the New Testament! When there is a seeming contradiction - they ignore Jesus! Case in point: Jesus said "love thy neighbor," "let he who has never sinned throw the first stone" and "turn the other cheek," yet thousands of American Christians are off to kill in Iraq led by their Christian President!! How is that NOT hypocrisy that by their own beliefs will damn them all the hell?

Also the Baptist influence of this teaching in the South is shared by evangelicals, fundamentalists, 'born agains'...

How did the people meantioned as getting intoxicated in the bible get that way?
If it was "unfermented" bright ones, it wouldn't be called WINE.

and Jesus materialized the BEST wine....what is that supposed to mean?

If God created the world and everything in it, then we have the predators with the exact form necessary to kill other animals. And we know this predator/prey model causes immense suffering. The typical response is that Satan/'the fall' created the situation where animals eat other animals, but we now see that the very form of the creation of these animals is such that they are originally equipped to participate in a predator/prey mechanism (and, hence, God's intention to set up this model). Therefore, Unconditional Love is incompatible with this mechanism that results in so much suffering. Hence, while God can exist, he couldn't have had anything to do with the creation of the world. I'm willing to hear a LOGICAL alternative, of course.

I am pentecostal....Acts 2:38 says repent...be baptized...holy ghost...the book of second timothy tells us to dress modestly and deuteronomy tells women not to weat that which pertaineth unto a man...I think girls wearing girls pants is ok........anyway.... people always say Im in a cult....why b/c we care about souls and tell them the truth?? Because we love ppl enough and try to help them, and we live holy....we dont kill people....and we dont shove religion down throats...yet we still get called a cult when the fouindation of our doctrine is based on Acts 2:38 and ask ANY pastor or religious leader that is where the church started....anyone know why we are called a cult?

There is scientific evidence and proof that dinosaurs existed way before Adam and Eve were created. As an atheist, I do not know very much about the Bible, but I happen to know that this does not chronologically make sense. If the Bible was supposedly written by God, then why didn't He include something about the dinosaurs?

I am almost 17, And I prayed that God would find the girl he wants for me...I at first thought it was my ex...but It turned out to be one of my best friends....well now its all going downhill....for the first while she was happy but now it seems like something is different about her and now she says she doesnt know...I know I love her and I just want her to be happy....I asked for God to help and I think that he may want me to be alone...shes the one I want and nobody has made me feel like her! Why would God want me to go through this...I think If she does leave me I will feel hopeless and like God has abbandoned me...I donno I hate this God wants me to feel pain???????

My brother-in-law's former girlfriend(who's father owns two McD's in our area) recently had him fired because she claims he made her get an abortion.He had no clue she was even pregnant until after she came back from IL and told him what she had done. Needless to say, he was devistated. Not because he lost his job but because she killed his child and he didn't even know he was a father. The ex girfriends father supported the daughter's decision and agreed to fire him because she "had a reputation to up hold" Do you think we should take steps against this McDonald's or what?
