Hope this helps.
Cain and Abel were not Adam and Eve's only children. Although the bible does not specify more than three males, it would be reasonable to consider that the couple had plenty of time to have many, many children. Males and Females.

In Genesis it says that Adam had "sons and daughters". So, Cain took from this as his wife.

Apparently, in getting humans started G*d allowed you to marry a sister, I suppose.

It might also be supposed, though the Bible does not specify, that in 800 years tons of sons and daughters were made by Adam and Eve! TONS OF THEM!!!

Each married as they progressed down the line, so there must of been many variations of which Cain could choose. And that in a nut shell his how humanity started.

What should concern you NOW, is not how they all started, but how it's all going to END pretty soon.

it doesn't say a foreign woman. and the answer is obvious:

Adam and Eve lived for over 900 years, so a woman's metapausal state would come hundreds of years after her birth. So Adam and Eve would have had many children. Cain just married his sister.

they reproduced, we don't know how many children they had before Cain and Abel and we don't know how long long it was. AND just because it doesn't say so, doesn't mean that God didn't create more people, Adam and Eve were just the first.

When God made Adam and Eve they were perfect and had a free will to choose .When they disobeyed Gods words ,God cursed the word with sin . Cain married one of his many sisters . With the curse of sin , every generations purity (perfection )diminished their life spand also , till God said you can no loner marry with in your intermediate family. I know it sounds a little bizarre but that's how it was .

Adam and Eve had many children. He could have taken his sister or a close relative. Or God could have made more people too.

It is a mistake to assume that a partial record is false. : )

The land of Nod. Adam & Eve were placed to replenish the Earth meaning there were people here before.
