If this is a good as life gets, I don't know what to do.
What can you do?
How do we enjoy it while it lasts if all but a few live lives of mediocrity?
If life doesn't get any better than this (and don't start on the Christian afterlife b.s.), should I just end it?

No.. go ATVing, or meet some poeple for a drink and some jokes.... life can be great fun... find some and live well....

You are right about one thing The afterlife that you mention is, as you say. No you should not end it.
You should take everything in your life that you think to be so or true and test it?
How do you do this? By asking questions and seeing if you get the answer that gives you the opportunity to live right and live better? Proverbs 1:5

I have always lived life with the idea that this (the present) is never as good as it gets. For if you think that then (1) you have no reason to try to be a better person, (2) you have no motivation to do good for others, and (3) there is no hope for a future.
If your life is so grand that you think this is as good as it gets, then I suggest you strive to help others reach that level in their lives.
