Stephan was the first martyr in the Christian Church, killed for his faith. The record of the event in Acts also marks the first mention of the Apostle Paul (Saul).

Silas was a co-laborer with Paul and Barnabas in the evangelistic missions made by Paul. Acts 15 shows that Paul and Barnabas went their separate ways, and Paul chose Silas to continue on in the journey.

Timothy was a young man of mixed heritage (Jewish & Greek). He became a church leader as trained by Paul.

Acts 12 and after follow the history of three men in great detail.

Stephen was one of the seven men full of the Holy Ghost who were first selected to minister to the home churches in (Antioch) I think. He was also the first martyr.
Silas accompanied Paul on his second missionary trip, and Timothy was mentored by Paul. Paul wrote a letter to Timothy encouraging him against timidity.

they were followers of Christ, each had a separate ministry. Stephen was martyred by being crucified, at his request he was upside down on a cross. Timothy was the recipient of the epistles bearing his name. Silas was an 'understudy' and companion of Paul
