Coming from 30 yrs of atheist and knowing science inside and out, and atheists will never admit it even thought the TRUTH (what they seek) is right in front of them from science itself, their god.
There are billions, let me repeat that, BILLIONS of forms of life on this earth. They live in water, air, volcano's, ice, boiling water, you name it, we have found life in it....even rock!
Yet......EVERY single prob, shuttle mission, asteroid find, landing on the moon, landing on mars, everything. NOT ONE atom of life has been found.
If life came to earth via space, via a rock......explain how billions are on this rock we call earth yet not 1 atom even is found in space or on other planets we can hit. Cause we already know life has no boundaries to begin nor life, for we see that on earth itself.
The very flaw of the entire science side.......to pull at this one strand....will make the entire picture unravel into nothing. and I will call it out...for I use to believe it, but see that its just a 2 side coin.
Cause anyone, of any faith or non faith can easily agree.....to build truth, one must have a foundation of truth. truth cannot be built upon lies. So if the very strand of it is false....what makes the entire building? false.
Sorry folks......truth hurts. Took me awhile to swallow that pill.

I am open to the possibility of life on other planets but I have to admit it is highly unlikely. I get a laugh every time scientists find some possibility of water or some substance onmars and they think this is proof that they could have life. Scientists have been trying for years to create the right circumstances for life to start and have had dismally dissapointing results. You need more than elements for life to start. There is comple information even in what Darwin once thought was a simple cell. That information had to come from somewhere. Just as a computer won't run without it's language so science has yet to account for the origin of information.

We only know eight planets in any detail, only one of them known to support life, the Earth.
Other planets have been found but it's a little hard to detect anything about them at such a great distance.
We currently only understand the habitability requirements of terrestrial life, other forms of life may have different criteria for a life-supporting planet.

We are one planet out of around a dozen in our own solar system. We are one solar system out of billions in our own galaxy. We are one galaxy out of billions in the universe. How is it that you arrive at we are the only planet that can support life? We are nowhere close to having the technology to determine that.
Most galaxies have a zone that is favorable to life, not too close to the core and not too close to the outer edge, but somewhere in the middle. Within the habitable zone of a galaxy there are solar systems. Within each solar system there is also a habitable zone, not too close to it's sun and not too far away either. If a planet, like earth, falls within these two habitable zones then the chances of life existing go way up.

We don't know that it is. The only reason we've mainly found large gaseous planets is because our instruments aren't advanced enough to detect the smaller planets that are able to support life. (ie compare Jupiter to Earth)

At the present time we can only see a wide area of space. We do not have the power to see individual planets. Someday we will be out in space and then we will see other worlds with liveable life. The life might be like us but it will be life.

The chance of a planet being able to support life are one in trillions of trillions of trillions.
So a planet could only support life if there was some outside influence.
(I know, that automatically classifies me as an ignoramus. sorry, but that's what I am! LOL)

I'm sure other planets have been created in far away solar systems under the precise circumstances such as Earth and life flourishes very similar to that of our own home right here. And they are prob discussing the same damn things.

We have a horrible narrow definition of life that is challenged by virii. It would appear that there was once, and may still be life on Mars. There are literally countless stars, most of whom have a system of planets, your assertion that Earth is it is a bigger logic leap than all of Christian doctrine, and that's saying something.
