Why so many questions about Muslims and Muslim women?

Question

It appaers as though there are many Muslims on this site.
Is it because there are a lot of people thinking to become Muslim.
Is there a real draw to the religion?
Is it because the Old Christian religion is loseing it's appeal?
The craving for something new perhaps.

Iv'e asked questions pertaining to this subject myself.

I am Christian, but I have studied some of the QuRan.

From reading it I did not find any sense of peace... especailly in dealing with women. Husbands can beat their wives, even with treee branches, if they do not do what they are told. Women are said to receive 50% less of the inheritence of God. Women are viewed unclean. There are other acts of violence that are encouraged. It's confusing to me that so many people kill in the name of Allah.

So this is why ask questions... not stir up dispute, but to hear from the mouths of Muslim.

Because lots of people are realizing that they don't know anything about it, and women is always a popular topic anywhere. Counter question: What does the word 'Muslim' describe? Is it an ethnicity of people? Is it a religious belief? Can it be defined as a geographical region? re we at war with Muslims? Since most of us know so little about what 'Muslim' means, there are going to be questions.

Some people are thinking about reverting to Islam. I have answered a few of their questions myself.

People are interested in Islam because Allah has touched their hearts and they want to know more information. Islam is the fastest growing religion of all time. We as Muslims refer to it as THE TRUTH

personally for me, the christian religion did not have a answer to all of my questions. "you have to have faith' became old... when i found Islam, there was, and still is a answer for everything.

it was not the craving of something new. it was the craving for the truth (haqq)
