The moment I accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, I stopped beating my wife. I don't mean I just restrained myself, but all desire to beat her left my heart. The Bible says that "husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church." Ephesians 5:28-29 This seems to fulfill what Jesus said in Luke 4:18-19 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to proclaim the good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."

I have read the statistics and been to counseling, according to them my wife should be gone or dead by now.

Permission for a muslim man to beat his wife if she doesnt obey to him:
Sura 4:34: “Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in their sleeping places and ****beat them****; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.”

I've heard alot of stupid arguements from atheists, but one of the worst is that it is not fair that people who are not Christians will burn forever in Hell when they die.

That is simply not true. That rule IS fair.

God gives people plenty of chances to become Christians. If you hear the word of God and you decide to stick to your own religion, you will burn forever. All you have to do is pray to God and he will let you know that Christianity is true.

There is scientific evidence that Christianity in particular is true. Scientists choose to ignore this.

God does not want you to burn in Hell forever, but if you choose not to be Christian, he is forced to do this.

Don't you agree?

We find that in today's society, that religion is a key player in wars. What if there wasn't religion; how would the world react, function, and truly be?

Prove it! I don't want bible quotes, tell God to call me up and let me really know how this works. I can look in a book and interpret it any way I see fit. I want some real proof! Some good ol lightning and thunder will do, but it can be a little more discreet if needed.

Seriously, how do you cope with that? And if you're going to try and say, "well, the bible isn't supposed to be taken literally all of the way through", then you better tell me how you plan to accurately distinguish the complete nonsense from the quasi-nonsense, and back it up with some logic.

See The Treaty Of Tripoli - 1805

Article 11 was undeniably a part of the treaty as approved by President John Adams and Secretary of State Timothy Pickering and ratified by the Senate.

Article 11, reads:

"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."
