I see...and all these billions of people that have never heard about Jesus are going to burn in hell? Just because they were born into a region in the world where Christianity doesn't exist?
That doesn't sound like the benevolent God that I know.
And where is the 'scientific evidence that Christianity in particular is true'?
I think you need to get yourself to a public university as soon as possible for deprogramming and a REAL education about the world that you live in.

no. In fact, it's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. What exactly is this scientific evidence that Christianity is the correct religion? convenient how you didn't give any examples, since it no doubt would have been torn a new one by any person who has a real understanding of science, not the pseudo-sciences you people are always desperately creating.
I was a Christian for many years. I left precisely because I could not deny that it would be a HORRIBLE injustice for any "supreme" being to subject it's children to an eternity of torment for failing to subscribe to the correct holy book. Sure, God gives people plenty of chances to become Christians- he also gives them plenty of chances to become Muslims, Pagans, Hindus, etc. Many other faiths claim to be the only correct path too. So, in the end, it's all a twisted cosmic guessing games with ridiculously perverse repercussions for the losers.
Thank you for reminding me why I left the church, and why I haven't regretted it for a second. It sure is a relief to be able to think clearly.

Oh yes, that's completely fair. Why don't you convert to the religion of the Ancient Egyptians? After all, Ra has given you plenty of opportunities, and if you don't, he'll
feed your heart to Set after you die.
"There is scientific evidence that Christianity in particular is true. Scientists choose to ignore this."
If you have scientific evidence for your bible, I'd love to hear it.
"God does not want you to burn in Hell forever, but if you choose not to be Christian, he is forced to do this." This from a "loving God", that's like telling a battered wife "It's all your fault, you were given plenty of opportunities to avert being smacked in the mouth, but since you chose not to have dinner ready by EXACTLY 5:00 p.m. you brought it on yourself."
"I've heard alot of stupid arguements from atheists, but one of the worst is that it is not fair that people who are not Christians will burn forever in Hell when they die.
That is simply not true. That rule IS fair."
REALLY? It's fair that former child-rapists, murderers, and wife-beaters (actually according to the bible, beating your wife is RIGHT) get to go to heaven, but a good person, who's never hurt a soul, whose only fault was not believing in your God will be tortured for eternity?
What kind of sick person are you?

O that in She´ol you would conceal me,
That you would keep me secret until your anger turns back,
That you would set a time limit for me and remember me!
For in death there is no mention of you;
In She´ol who will laud you?
because you will not leave my soul in Ha´des, neither will you allow your loyal one to see corruption.
Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.
10 And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where both the wild beast and the false prophet [already were]; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever
the devil will be thrown in with his buddys but those who dont know god will be cut off not in a living burning hell but an everlasting cutting off.
the good news of the kingdom:
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. 2 I saw also the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
5 And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also, he says: “Write, because these words are faithful and true.”

Yes, if you choose to ignore Christianity I guess you would burn in hell according to the bible. I'm an atheist/agnostic/something like that, and from personal experience, I don't give a rats *** whether or not anyone thinks I'm going to burn in hell because I don't believe in it. I don't know what kind of atheist you talked to, or if you took what they were saying the right way or not, but that argument against Christianity just doesn't fit coming from an atheist. If one doesn't believe in hell, why would they care how fair the policies of hell were?
And your scientific evidence claim is bullshit too

I disagree for so very many reasons.
How is it fair that a God creates a person to sin, sets him/her up for failure, demands that innocent animals be slaughtered to appease him and then ultimately gets bored with animals, (psychopaths are known to have this trait, btw) and then requires that an innocent human has to be slaughtered to make everything okay again? Your logic makes no sense.
There is no historical evidence that Jesus ever existed. What science are you talking about? Do you mean places in the bible where bats are called birds? Where the sun revolves around the earth? Where the earth is flat and held up by four pillars? Where is your scientific proof?
Honestly, this is one of the worst arguments for belief in christianity I've seen in weeks.
I won't worship your god on moral grounds, no matter how many times you try to sell me fire insurance.

For one, there is no burning hell. That is some made up tradition of men. The Bible does not indicate at all that God would give Satan his own personal domain. Satan is God's most bitter enemy! Why would he allow his worst enemy to torment men because all of us have a sinful tendency that was caused by our first parents. God is forgiving. He will destroy Satan and bring mankind back to perfection and have us live on a paradise earth. Any religion that does not teach that is not copnsidered true Christianity.

I agree w/ you 100%. The only thing I would tweak a little would be your staement that they only have to pray and God will show them that Christianity is the truth. I would say they need to believe...believe that Christ died on the cross for OUR sins. EVERYONE!!! You are correct though everyone has an opportunity to accept God's plan and desires for our lives. In the countries where they aren't civilized nations God works there to just not by word of mouth. He is a loving and good God if people would open their hearts and minds to it, but sadly majority don't. God Bless!

im sorry i was forced to believe christianity when i was a child but now that i am older it sounds like a bunch of bullshit. Come on read the bible again especially the old testement and tell me if it does not sound like bull to you. In all truthfullness i think christianity started with a child asking about what will happen when he dies and how man and the earth were created and the mother didnt know the truth so she told him some cock and bull story and when he saw his friends he told them. Then they kept on beliving and started a ****** up religion. That is what i think. as for dying your body disintegrates and your soul starts a new journey.

thats the rule of the game in the sight of God's law. You see God's greatest give to all His creations apart from life is the "free will". It was given to Lucifer and he choose the way of the evil. Same, that free will was given to all humans too. He give plenty of chance while you are alive to accept Him and recieve eternal blessings in heaven.
But, human heart are harden against God and His ways. They choose to stick to their own believe, tradition and ancestory customs. Upon death, God could not accept this kinda of people into His heaven. So the only other force that will rights to your soul will be the devil. And the devil is the one who will indeed burn you in hell forever. What u expect, he's evil.
But hell are not forever & ever. One day hell and all its inhabitants will be thrown into the lake of fire. They will face the second death in here.
