How else can you explain how George W. Bush got elected twice? It seems like the fundies are gaining too much power in the U.S. More future right wing fundamentalists are born each day, and with the way they would like to see the country run, i dont think it's too far-fetched to say that in fifty years The U.S. will be fighting five wars against abstract things at the same time, people will be fined for speaking out against the bible, or sent to jail for being gay. Maybe i should just move to Cananda...

There are sooooo many different religions! How on earth do I know which is right?!?!?!? I really want to be religious and go to church and stuff but it's so hard to decide what church to go to. They all believe something a little bit different! What do you suggest?

I see some innocent infants, initiated into commercial evangelism, singing and dancing on the stage at evangelic carnivals as well as on T V screens. Does it not amount to insatiable greed for money taxing the children beyond limits? It is evident that they are brain washed! They too utter lies. Is it good parenting or cruel parenting? As they are used for commercial gain, can't the Evangelists be booked for violating Child Labour Act? In India we see of children being abducted, cruelly disfigured and disabled – mostly blinded – and sent out to streets for begging. Are Evangelists’ children any different except that their presentations are different? I admit I am biased as I see innocent children – one even looks around six or seven - with failing health are used to add colour and enjoyment to programmes. What is the remedy?

Wouldn't you agree that Jesus and other people in the Bible would be very dark, since they are Middle Eastern? Or at least much darker than the depictions of them? What are your thoughts on this?

according to the bible god spoke to alot of people back when the bible was being written... prophets etc.... but how do we know that it was god are we sure it wasnt satan saying all those things or something totally different... the devil must be capable of lying to people .... right?

lets assume that people did hear "the voice" how can any of us be certain that it was god?

The pastor of the church is getting kicked out by three people in the congregation that are making a huge stink over things he has done.

One of the main reasons they are pissed off is because instead of planning a youth trip he gave the project to the board.

This would normally be legitimate, but they seem to forget that they asked him not to be a part of the youth group about 5 or 6 months into his ministry.

They have visited him 0 times about any of the complaints they had, and waited until it was time to move the pastors around to say anything! It's ridiculous and the negativity is winning over the good ones because the good ones don't want to offend their neighbors.

I want to help but I don't know what to do. This is the methodist denomination. I was thinking about contacting the district super intendant or the bishop about it, but I don't know if it will help. The ball might already be rolling to fast to stop. What do I do please help.
