How else can you explain how George W. Bush got elected twice? It seems like the fundies are gaining too much power in the U.S. More future right wing fundamentalists are born each day, and with the way they would like to see the country run, i dont think it's too far-fetched to say that in fifty years The U.S. will be fighting five wars against abstract things at the same time, people will be fined for speaking out against the bible, or sent to jail for being gay. Maybe i should just move to Cananda...

Well, it IS true that "conservatives" breed more. I've heard statistics indicating that they WILL gradually become a larger demo. I'm really not all that worried though - I'm not stockpiling marijuana, metal records and gay porn "against the day." You can't really stop progress. Today's "conservatives" would always have been considered liberal radicals by the standards of a few generations prior; and it's always been that way. The printing press was the tool of the devil at its debut; then they printed some bibles, and people came around. Chloroform was condemned on religious grounds until somebody pointed out that God had caused Adam to sleep before removing his rib. All organized conservatism in religion and politics can do is slow things down - which they do, but progress STILL finds a way. Hey, we don't even condone slavery anymore! We've come a long way!

Hello, Fun...:

You are right, and have not seen anything yet. And moving to Canada will solve nothing because Bible fundamentalists believe in a global system legislating Jesus as Savior.

That is not all, Mohammedanism teaches the same strategy, a one-world government for Allah.

There are two sites you need read:

"The Rise, Decline, and Death of Islam in Bible Prophecy", and "The Wise Shall Understand--the Bible Code Revealed"

How is it possible for any group to gain "too much control" over the US when we have a representative government in which our legislators are elected by the people? This means that people which you call Christian fundamentalists came out and voted in the people who reflect their world view. It also means that many other types of people came out and voted the same way. It is the American way for people to be free to organize, lobby and vote in a way which is consistent with their beliefs, feelings and hopes. You just don't like that people who represent yours didn't win. You now want to whine about how people who feel differently from you have too much power. As a result, you do not support the American system and you most definitely should move to Canada.

Where in the world are you getting your information on the type of society in the US. Most are Agnostics, when it comes to any sort of religion, that includes Christians, Muslems and the whole lot of rest. Tolerance is a USA way of life. No country is more tolerant to diversity of religion than the USA. NONE and ive been to most.

Do you mean Canada? Whats the difference between US and Canada. Nothing I can see.

Yes move to Canada

Please

The reason Christian fundamentalists are growing is because those who are not to proud to listen to what we have to say are beginning to find out that we are right.
The pour pose of democracy is so that it is governed by the people. If Christian fundamentalists become the majority, then that is the path that democracy takes.

But you Atheists have no reason to worry. When the rapture comes, all of us "fundies" will go away- in fact you will get the world to yourself for seven whole years! I am sure you can't wait.

LMFAO
Oh, you have GOT to be kidding! Chriistianity is at its lowest level of influence in centuries, and YOU think it's too much??? Since when did GWB's agenda become a Christian one? Is there ANYTHING Christian about his policies??? I think not! As to his being elected twice, that's your own stupid fault. Why didn't you give us a VIABLE alternative??? So if you want to go to Canada, please, be my guest! And don't let the razor wire hit you on the way out.

Oh, wait! We don't PROTECT our borders, do we??? Thanks to WHO??? That's right, GWB. So don't blame us for him. He's as much YOUR fault as anyone's.

Absolutely! It's fairly obvious how he won. 13 states with anti-gay measures on the ballot.

Not much truth in his quote "I'm a united, not a divider."

If it wasn't for all the gay bashing, and talk about 'family values' (whatever that means, since straight people have family values a lot of the time), he'd never have been reelected.

I believe that it is entirely possible that could happen.

We can stop it however. We have the power to take back our free from religion country.

We have to go to the polls and vote!

VOTE, VOTE, VOTE, VOTE, VOTE, VOTE

George Bush or John Kerry Hmmm... lets see now

Guess what..Most of those who wrote and signed the Constitution of the United States, were Christians. This Country was founded on Christian beliefs.

Don't forget that this country was founded on Christian beliefs. For example: "In God We Trust" is engraved onto every US coin and printed on every dollar. If you don't like it, why are you living here?
