If anyone truly accepts who and what Jesus is and did then yes.

How do you know? Simple they actions will show.

But who do you know what it is that you need?

Are you a good person? What a question, most of us believe that we are good people because we can look around and find someone that is far worse than we are. We can always point to the things that we think make us a good person.

But how good are we really? Dare we take this test and look at ourselves and see if we really are good? Hmmm.

If you are willing try this and see just how good a person you are.

The Good Person Test.

How will you do? Pass or fail?

Have you ever told a lie?
Doesn't matter how big or small, just a lie.
What does that make you? Before answering think about this, if I told you a lie what would you call me? A liar?

Have you ever stolen anything? Cost doesn't matter, a piece of gum, failed to give back an ink pen that you borrowed, anything.
What does that make you?

Jesus said, "You know the saying of old, you shall not commit adultery but I say that if look at someone to lust after them you have committed adultery in your heart.
Have you ever lusted?

Jesus said that hate is equal to murder.
Have you ever hated anyone?

See one day we all are going to stand before a Holy God on Judgment Day and he is going to judge us based on His Holy Law, the Ten Commandments. These are just 4 of them and how did you do? Guilty? I have broken all of these and more, what about you? How well will you do on Judgment Day?

If we break just one point of God's Law we are guilty of breaking all the law and Gods Wrath abides upon us all. Based on God's Law we are all guilty and all are deserving of punishment. But there is an out for us.

Jesus paid the price for each one of us, took on himself God's Wrath so we wouldn't have to face it on our own. Jesus was beaten, battered, bleed and died so we wouldn't have to face God's Wrath. He rose again so that we would life in his presence. Our crimes, His payment.

The real question is where will you stand on Judgment Day. Pay yourself or have it paid for you. Think about it.

Depends on if they mean it. I really believe that in the Bible we see that the concept of Christian perfection is not real. We will never be perfect, and that is why God's grace is necessary. If then we believe in a grace based faith and not a works based faith, then logically an addict could go to heaven if they truely believe in God, and accept the grace that Jesus offers. I think that in this belief we have to come to terms that God doesn't care if we win or lose battles to addictions. What He cares about is that we fight. If an addict loves God, and fights, but loses, and is sorry, but keeps on fighting then we have to believe that God's grace will be enough.

We are all in some way addicted to sin, because we all keep sinning. So if addicts can't get to heaven then we would all be screwed.

I think they will go to live with God even if they don't confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior. being an addict doesn't make you a bad person. You could still treat others well and put your faith in God. Just because you make bad choices in life doesn't mean you automatically go to hell. Of course, this does not include murder and rape, but if we're talking about drugs here, I don't think God will love you any less.

No that is too unholy, do you forgive people if you know that they are only saying sorry so that you will like them again, but you know they will use you again? It's like that...It doesn't mean anything after a while right? You make sure you are as merciful as you want God to be on you? They might if they can repent, and quit the addiction. It also depends what the addiction is too. Some things are not enough. Think about it. even god is human. He is inmortal, but he too can only taking so much before... well you know!

I believe that all are saved by the grace of God. If one confesses their sins and asks for forgiveness and to be saved than they are a child of God. God forgives sins, but you need to try to do what's right. So when an addict asks for forgiveness, (anyone for that matter) than they need not continue in what they are doing. To be sorry means that you are wrong and feel bad about what you've done. So you don't want to go back to you'r stumbling point. If you are truly sorry you will try to change what has been causing you to stumble in disobedience. God is forgiving and forever unchanging. He loves his children and wants us to please Him so others may come to know him.

Sorry so long~

Yes. They must repent and turn from their old ways. It does no good for an addict to accept Christ as his Lord and Savior, get baptized, then go right back to the same old habits. When you are baptized, yu are made "clean" from all the old habits; you are now a completely "new man/woman" and you are dead to all that.

yes- im the bible it says that all who truely beleive in him will live with him in eternity forever. Also, in Romans it says that all have fallen short of the glory of God- but then it also mentioins that because of that and b/c god wants us to live with him forever, he sent the only perfect one, Jesus- Gods son, to die for our sins, so that we may be forgiven. All sins are equall in Gods eyes- addition is just as bad as abuse- and to God, stealing is just as bad as murder. All sins are equall in Gods eyes as wrong- our sins are the thing seperating us from God. So, even if all we did was tell a little white lie, we can be saved and live with God forever, and even if we are addicts, we can live with God forever if we beleive in him and live our lives for him.

Yes - but in the same sense, if you have confessed and accepted Christ as your Savior - you will want to do better and you will want to clean your life up....maybe not right away, but it will happen.
