I don't hate atheist, in fact I like them, they are sometimes a sober voice to my fanatical views at times. Makes me stop and ask "Am I going too far with my views?". I am a Christian but I also believe that Christ wouldn't be as arrogant and pig headed as a lot of Christians are.

Stereotyping and generalizations. I personally don't hate you. And all atheists are not peaceful, and respectful no more than all RELIGIOUS Christians are. Both sides have people who push their beliefs on each other. Some are just so convinced that they feel that it is their duty to inform. I personally agree that we should be respectful of each other and not go trolling on Y/A R&S for kicks. And yes RELIGION can be very violent because it is a matter of CONTROL. There are many in various denominations of christianity (Musslums and Buddists. etc) that fight over doctrines. It will never get widespread acceptance but can we agree to disagree and that we each have the right to belive in what makes sense to each of us?
I personally am attracted to those who are not RELIGIOUS and truly follow their beliefs and walk their talk and not try to stongly convince others that theirs is the only way.

A real christian wouldn't hate you as a group, but they are just people too and some people can hurt you pretty badly. It may take a long time for them to forgive someone who has done that to them, but they would eventually. I dont hate anyone, I've come to learn it's the actions and deeds that I dislike, not the people doing them. If people are "pushing" their beliefs on you, kindly say no thank you and walk away. You will be held accountable later for the rejection, but that is the choice you make.
Those nations who are so violent have almost always been that way. They were there in the times the bible was written (under different names), but it's the same people who were there. They are taught to hate, encouraged to hate. The bible tells us to be as smart as a fox, but as gentle as doves when we share the word. Smart so we are not caught off guard when people try to harm us, and gentle so those we speak to hear just how much the Lord cares for them. If they arent doing this, then maybe ask yourself which religion they REALLY belong too.

I am Christian, but I am not incredibly devout. however, i do have good faith In God and have no hard feelings towards atheists. You're right, many of them are kind people.
however, you may want to rethink your opening statement.
Not ALL atheists are peaceful, respectful and don't try to push their beliefs on people. It's such a blanket statement that in many ways is untrue. I can't tell you the hatred I've seen from atheists towards Christians. They want to convince Christians that there's no God and that they're stupid for believing.
And i'm not stereotyping-I personally know people like this.
I also know Christians who try to change the minds of atheists. I know Christians who respect atheists.
It goes both ways. you cant' say one thing applies to everyone

I'm sure that most Atheists are peaceful, respectful members of society who don't push their beliefs on other, but it's the same with with religious people, it's the few outspoken, obnoxious, rude hateful people that give the rest a bad name.

Where did you get your presumptions?
I am christian and I've never pushed any beliefs on anyone.
My parents are atheists and go around trying to prove God doesn't exist and calling all religious people idiots.
Some of the least educated and poorest nations in the world are the most violent, I'd say, whether it's religious or not.

I DON'T hate atheists. Why on earth would you think that?
Yes, some of the most religious nations are the most violent. Perhaps it's because they only profess to be religious, but they really aren't.

I don't hate atheists however I do wonder why some choose to conveniently ignore that China and the Soviet Union killed 43 million people in a relatively short time frame in countries that were under the official banner of atheism. Do I think all atheists would do this no. But this philosophy allows for this type of behaviour as humans have no special value. i know they are uncomfortable with this truth but it is a historical fact. If you don't believe communists are atheists then you are living in a pretend world. I don't understand then how they suggest they don't push their beliefs on others.

I don't hate them, I think I fear them. To me not believing in God means you have no moral compass. If you have no faith in a heaven or a hell what stops you from committing terrible acts? I know I know alot of so called religious people commit terrible acts. I don't think those zealots are listening to God, but,the other guy. I don't know any atheists so my imagination runs wild. I believe and have tremendous faith, but, I don't push my beliefs on anyone. I never talk religion unless I'm asked. So I guess we both have done some assuming about the other side.

Not all Christians hate atheists. Not all atheists are wonderful people. I've met several Christians who hate atheists and several who accept atheism as just another (lack of) belief. I've met a couple of atheists in my life, and they have been wonderful (One is a very good friend.), but I'm sure that not all atheists are great people just as not all Christians are great people. It all depends on who you meet.
