um..no. hakuna matata is simply a fictitious way of life in the lion king. and i would not encourage anyone who tries to make a fictitious way of life a religion. any supposed followers of a religion like that are probably kids that are just playing around and joking

Ain't no worries.
Their religion is basically that nothing matters. I'd say the closest thing to it is absolute nihilism with a touch of personal enjoyment. It seems lacking in the foresight department, but hey, what do you expect from a warthog and a meerkat.
And the faith is commendable, considering they live in harmony with a dominant carnivore that would normally consider both of them its prey.

I really doubt it. If anything it is some offshoot of a mainline religion of people who got disgruntled with the false doctrines of men and their traditions. Check out the Bible. True Christians call Jesus their leader only. Not a pope, not a rabbi, minister etc. Jesus is the true leader of our Christian congregations worldwide. The one you ask about sounds like it started in Hawaii.
