For me, it was D&C 121-22. In the past year, I had a series of trials...roommate ripping me off $1000, another roommate's irresponsiblity resulitng in the death of my cat, serious questions about my worthiness as a LSD Priesthood holder, emotional conflicts with a wannabe-gf, temple recommend but not allowed in temple, major flooding in my home, assaulted with a baseball bat while trying to save a neighbor's life from an angry boyfriend, broken foot at work, etc.

Many times I turned to this D&C selection to realize that even the Prophet had his doubts about God's presence in his life. This allowed me to 'humanize' my own system of disbelief and bring it back within 'faith', rather than blindly attribute it to the work of the Deceiver. To be receptive to the promptings of the Holy Ghost, I must be focused on the Holy Ghost, rather than focused strictly on how the Deceiver is trying to draw me away from faith.

If there is a god, wouldn't an easier explanation be that "god" created the universe and then left it alone to govern itself?

Most religions like to put humans on a high pedestal. Like we are the most important beings in the whole universe, when we are nothing more than carbon based life forms on some little rock that revolves around an average star at the edge of a average galaxy amongst billions of other galaxies.

If there is a god why would he give a rats behind about us?

It is about attempts to "cure" homosexuals by the Christian Church. What do you guys think? Is it really as hilarious as I find it???

I have heard that many consider their Lutheran faith to be foundational to their Christian faith. This seems distressing to me, as religion in and of itself is not God inspired, but man inspired. Any thoughts?

www.chick.com or www.jesus-is-savior.com

how accurate do you think these websites are? (they never state their sources)
I've checked out the websites and on catholic terms it seems that some of the things they preach against catholic doctrine is erroneous www.bible.ca even mis-quotes the early church fathers and claims that the letters of ignatius are all false which most scholars agree that they are authentic.

If you want to learn about catholicism why don't you try sites which actually teach what correct catholic doctrine is

www.scripturecatholic.com
www.catholic.com
www.fisheaters.com
or read a book about catholicism because most of you assume what is catholic doctrine while what you assume is wrong. Plus your pastor probally feeds you lies as mine did. If you learn the truth maybe you'll be lead to the church as I am now.

I mean they are always trying to convert someone to their religion, and when you tell them that you practice another religion they tell you that it is fake, and that theirs is the one true real religion.

Or is it all just a spam-fest of "Do you know *THIS* R&S contributer? Their favorite color is blue and they like puppies."

It's like a friggin' personals board. Isn't that stuff against the TOS spam provision or have things changed and I wasn't aware?

I wear a sterling silver ring that says Vow of Purity on my left hand where a typical wedding band would go. Several of my Catholic friends do the same. Some have crosses or different sayings on them. I wear the Vow of Purity to remind myself to remain abstinent from now until marriage. I have some friends Catholic, Protestant and otherwise that think this strange. I was just wondering if other Catholics or religious people do this.

So many people criticise others' religion. My question is "If you were marooned with one other person, would it really make any difference what their religion was? Wouldn't such things as religious differences become unimportant in a situation like that? How about their ethnicity or race?

Hating your enemies? Confused with Christ? More concerned with yourself? Are you indulging but don't care?

Are you worshipping yourself, without knowing it? It's Satanism!

Come, my children.

How can people choose this story as evidence that God is against homosexuality when it deals with men wanting to gang rape another male (or male figure, since it was an angel, or messenger of the lord)? How can rape be equated with a loving homosexual relationship?

I love the Lord so much and I want to live and serve Him all the days of my life.

Because of some issues and the thorn that stabs in the flesh from time to time, thoughts of the past come into my mind out of no where even when I forgave all these things and humbly given everything to the Lord Jesus. yet I still struggle. I talk to God all day long and pray a lot as well. what are godly ways and practical ways to handle the bad thoughts that comes into the mind have any of you gone through this is the normal? This has been on my mind and heart so I thought I would post this. I thank you in advance for your answers and peace be with you.

Well I'm confused, All my life I've been in a MUSLIM school, getting used to Islam, since I was 12, I went to church (I'm suppoused to be catholic), I did my first communion and that's it.

I dunno which religion I should be, everythign is pointing to Islam but then I don't feel comfortable myself with some rules of it (not the hiyab thing, I got no problem with it)

I thought on converting but I find myself with doubts. I've been thinkgin abotu this for a year already o.o
