A cradle Catholic is someone who was born into a Catholic family, baptized as a baby, and raised as a Catholic.

They may or may not be practicing Catholics as adults.

With love in Christ.

The term "cradle Catholic" is used to describe a person who has been raised as a Catholic since birth. He or she has not converted to the faith. This term also implies that the Catholic in question was raised by at least moderately observant parents, and has not lapsed in his or her faith.
