An article in the January 1993 National Geographic boldly proclaimed: “No human being has ever seen a live dinosaur.” Now, does he know that, or does he think that? There is no way for anyone to know that unless they had at least talked to everyone who has ever lived.
If dinosaurs lived with man (as the Bible teaches, Gen. 1:24-27), you would expect to find legends of dinosaurs in history. Why don’t we read stories about men fighting dinosaurs or dinosaurs eating people’s cows and stuff like that?
Well, most people are unaware that the word “dinosaur” was not coined until the 1840s by Sir. Richard Owen (who was a Creationist by the way). So, if these creatures lived alongside humans prior to that time, they were not called dinosaurs. So what were they called? Dragons. Most cultures throughout the world possess ancient stories about dragons and sea monsters that closely resemble what we today would call dinosaurs. Dragon stories have been handed down for generations in most civilizations.
No doubt many of these stories have been exaggerated through the years, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t have their original basis in fact. I believe many of the dragon legends are simply distorted versions of dinosaur encounters. As Paul Taylor has said, “Most of the dragon legends are full of exaggeration, magic and marvelous deeds. But this is not true of all of them. Many stories seem rather believable.” It is true that many of them are mythical or legendary but it is also true that most legends are based on some truth. It cannot be an accident that so many separate peoples of the world tell such stories.
The same can be deduced from the 250+ different flood stories from around the world. Flood legends in many cultures that have never even heard of the Bible, and yet many of them are very similar to the account in Genesis. Why? Because everyone is descended from Noah. Some of the details have been distorted from thousands of years of telling and retelling, but it is based in fact. I believe the same is true of the dragon legends.
There are hundreds of these types of legends. Evolutionists just say that it’s coincidence that many of them sound like dinosaurs. World Book Encyclopedia says: “The dragons of legend are strangely like actual creatures that have lived in the past. They are much like the great reptiles [dinosaurs] which inhabited the earth long before man was supposed to have appeared on earth.”
So why did they die off? Well, many Creationists believe Noah's Flood would have drastically changed the climate of the earth (cooler temperatures, more radiation, etc.), and that there was a short ice age after the flood. Some Creationists think the dinosaurs that survived the flood where not able to cope so well in the new environment.
Another possibility is that dinosaurs may have become extinct for the same reason that many animals become extinct today. Why do we have endangered species programs? Extinction is the rule. Why? People killing them, lack of food, man destroying the environment, catastrophes, disease, genetic problems, and so on. I’ve read that in the last 350 years, about 400 species have disappeared and some say the number is much greater.
Let’s think for a minute—countries all over the world have stories of dragon slayers. Perhaps man killed them for food, sport, or because they were a nuisance. I think we just didn’t start our endangered species programs early enough.
Another thing, is that there have been (even recently) reports of strange animals in the amazon and the congo that sound a lot like dinosaurs. And there are reports of giant flying reptiles in Indonesia, and so forth. There are thousands of square miles of almost impenetrable swamps and thick jungle in the world. Natives in some of these places describe beasts that fit with what just might be dinosaurs. And what about all the sightings of lake monsters?
This is a field called cryptozoology—the search for hidden animals. There just might be a few dinosaurs left, teetering on the edge of extinction. We are constantly discovering new species of animals and plants in remote areas. A tree can’t run away and hide and yet the Wollemi pine tree avoided detection until just recently (previously said to have became extince millions of years ago). An evolutionist has to say, “No way.” But a creationist has no problem with this and can say, “Maybe.”

Actually there's an herbivorous dinosaur described in the Bible and there are several other places in the Bible that mentions beasts that one could readily assume were dinosaurs from the descriptions. As far as the amount of time that the world has been around goes who's to say that when God created the world that He didn't put a certain amount of carbon content throughout it. That would make any carbon dating results that occur outside of the rough Biblical approximation of how long the world has existed entirely invalid. Here's the herbivorous dinosaur for you.
Job 40:15-24
"Look at the behemoth,
which I made along with you
and which feeds on grass like an ox.
What strength he has in his loins,
what power in the muscles of his belly!
His tail sways like a cedar;
the sinews of his thighs are close-knit.
His bones are tubes of bronze,
his limbs like rods of iron.
He ranks first among the works of God,
yet his Maker can approach him with his sword.
The hills bring him their produce,
and all the wild animals play nearby.
Under the lotus plants he lies,
hidden among the reeds in the marsh.
The lotuses conceal him in their shadow;
the poplars by the stream surround him.
When the river rages, he is not alarmed;
he is secure, though the Jordan should surge against his mouth.
Can anyone capture him by the eyes,
or trap him and pierce his nose?"

What is an "X-ian"? A generation X member? That aside, let's assume that God is a loving, nurturing parent who wants only the best for his/her children (my God encompasses all genders, all orientations, all human aspects). Why would this parent create this incredible planet, so rich with geologic and biological history, then artificially create signs of the birth of the universe and biological life that never was? What parent would play those kinds of mind games on their kids, if they truly loved them? As for sorting out the Bible, I highly recommend "The Sins of Scripture" by former Episcopalian Bishop John Shelby Spong. This lifelong Bible scholar carefully explains how the Bible came to exist, and separates the truly inspired words of The Divine from those of the people who sought to turn God's word to their own advantage.

1 day wasn't a literal 24 hr period... There wasn't even a sun and moon rotating around the Earth to have what is known as a formal day and night... Lest you forget, he created the "Luminaries" during this creative process....
READ< Genesis 1:14> Those were made so humans could tell time, Also note.. Where living things were first brought upon the Earth, they are the ones, who would even understand and benefit from a day and night..
Jehovah wrote the creative process in Genesis, in a way that humans could comprehend what was being done. Do you believe God is limited by any time frame, as to what he wishes to do creatively? In a blink of an eye... Our very existence could ceased to even be a memory, that being Earth itself.. Or he could manipulate our very thoughts of occurrences, to show how he was correct, before time even proved it to be so... Yet, forgive me for using a destructive example to show his will, for his every thought in using his dynamic energy is for good, never evil.

The Bible is not a science book though it does mention dinosaurs Job 40:15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
Job 40:16 Lo now, his strength [is] in his loins, and his force [is] in the navel of his belly.
Job 40:17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
Job 40:18 His bones [are as] strong pieces of brass; his bones [are] like bars of iron.
Look at your computer keyboard. Was it created? How do you know? Now let's say we didn't want it to be created. How would you disprove such an obvious thing? Hmmm.. I KNOW! Millions and millions of years ago there was this plastic molecule and it started to randomly mutate and after 1.5 million years a space bar emerged.

As a x-ian, I have asked myself this question a lot of times.
If your question is not intended to be insulting then I would suggest you try to read the bible a bit and at least learn from all the wise teachings they left us so many years ago.
This is like asking you americans what human rights are when a judge (who is not perfect and just) sentences someone to death.

Most Christians I know believed that dinosaurs coexisted with humans thousonds of years ago, or that Satan made fossils to aid evolution somehow. They say ancient civilizations that have been proven to be older than 6000 year, did not exist, or that they're also Satan's illusions.

A thousand years to the Lord is as a day and a day 1000 years. So what is the problem? The creation period for the 5th day may have been 10,000 years.
